This family settled in Puslinch Township. Son Michael married Janet Trainor in Guelph in 1849. Their son Michael married Maria Anna Cassin. Michael and Barbara's daughter Magdalena married George Schell , son of George Schell and Magdalena Klein, of New Germany.
