    HEYER, Edwin Albert - Passed away peacefully. on Saturday, February 22. 2003, at The Westmount, Kitchener.

    Edwin was formerly of New Hamburg. He was born 86 years ago in North Easthope Township, a son of the late John and Clara (Schmidt) Heyer. Edwin had farmed in North Easthope Township prior to retiring to New Hamburg. He was a former member of Wellesley Evangelical Missionary Church where he had served as a Trustee.

    Beloved husband of Dorthy (Docker) Heyer who predeceased him, December 27, 2002.

    Loving father of Rev. John and Donna Heyer of RR 2, Petersburg, Charlotte and Rev. David Dyer of Napanee; dear grandfather of Pastor Tim and his wife Tarah Heyer of Jamestown, New York, Sarah and Joshua Heyer of RR 2. Petersburg. Also remembered by a niece and a number of nephews and their families.

    Edwin was the last surviving member of his family, having been predeceased by sisters and brothers Pearl and Joseph Dorner, Clayton Heyer,
    and Erich Kuehn, Mary and Milton Neumeister, Arthur and Ann Heyer, Roy and Magdalene Heyer and Henry in infancy.

    Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St. New Hamburg, today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Gary McNitt officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, new Hamburg.

    HEYER, Dorothy Delaine Passed away peacefully, on Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener.

    Dorothy resided in New Hamburg. She was born 77 years ago, in Wilmot township, a daughter of the late Henry and Luella (Kuntze) Docker. She was a member of Wellesley Evangelical Missionary Church where she taught Sunday, School for many years. Dorothy more recently attended Faith Baptist Church, New Hamburg and enjoyed a neighbourhood Ladies Bible Study as well as gardening and quilting.

    Beloved wife of Edwin Albert Heyer, who she married May 2, 1950 and has lovingly cared for him for many years. Loving mother of Rev. John and Donna Heyer of RR 2, Petersburg and Charlotte and Rev. David Dyer of Napanee. Sadly missed by grand-children, Pastor Tim (Tarah) Heyer of Jamestown, New York, Sarah and Joshua Heyer of RR 2, Petersburg. Also remembered by a niece and a number of nephews and their families.

    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 30, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Gary McNitt and Pastor Tom Crerar officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.

    NEW HAMBURG, Sept. 9. Mr. John Heyer, a well known resident of North Easthope, passed away at St. Anthony's Hospital, Michigan City. Ind., following a motor accident while on a trip through Michigan and Indiana. The accident occurred on Tuesday and death came late Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Heyer. who accompanied her husband on the trip was also seriously hurt and is still in the hospital. Details of the accident are not available. The late Mr. Heyer was born 65 years ago and lived his entire life on the farm where he resided up till his death. Surviving are his wife; four sons, Clayton, Arthur and Edwin, at home, and Roy of Kitchener; also two daughters, Mary of Toronto and Pearl in Waterloo. One brother, David, of Vancouver, B. C., and three sisters. Mrs. Margaret Mohr of North Easthope, Mrs. Wm. Dewing of Mitchell and Mrs. Geo. Hinz of Logan. The funeral service will be held at the Oetzels Evangelical church. of which Mr. Heyer was a lifelong adherent. Burial will be made in Oetzels cemetery. A private service will be held at his late residence at 2 p.m., followed by a public service at the church at 2.30. Rev. K. Gretzinger will be the officiating clergyman.

    Died In St. Anthony's Hospital, Michigan City, Indiana, on Wednesday, September 7th, 1938, John Heyer Aged: 65 years, 6 months and 4 days. The Funeral Will take place from his late residence on Saturday, September 10th, with private service at the house at 2 o'clock p.m., followed by a public service in Oetzel's Church at 2.30 o'clock and interment in Oetzel's Cemetery.     NEW HAMBURG - Mrs. John Heyer, 8I, of RR 3, New Hamburg, died Saturday at her home.

    Born in North Easthope Township, she was the former Clara Schmidt and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Balzer Schmidt. She lived in North Easthope all her life.

    She was a member of Oetzels Evangelical United Brethren Church. She was predeceased by her husband in 1938 and by three brothers and one sister.

    Surviving are four sons, Clayton, Edwin and Roy, all of RR 3, New Hamburg and Arthur of Wiseton, Sask., three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Dormer of North Easthope Township; Mrs. Eric (Florence) Kuehen of RR 3, Waterloo; Mrs. Milton (Mary) Neumeister of RR 1, Milverton; two sisters, Mrs. A. F. (Emma) Dorscht of New Hamburg and Mrs. Edward (Martha) Hartung of Gowanstown. There are 13 grandchildren.

    The body will be at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home until noon Wednesday when removal will be made to Oetzels EUB Church for. service at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Ronald Amy. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    MRS. HENRY DOCKER

    Mrs. Henry Docker, formerly of New Hamburg, died Thursday at the Kitchener-Waterloo hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 81.

    The former Louella Kuntze, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kuntze, she was born in Wilmot Township. Jan. 21,1887.

    Mrs. Docker was predeceased by her husband in 1945, one son in infancy, one brother and one sister.

    She leaves one daughter. Mrs. Edwin (Dorothy) Heyer. RR 1. New Hamburg and two grandchildren

    Rev. Lynn Snyder officiated at the service held at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home last Sunday.

    Private burial followed in Mount Hope cemetery. Kitchener.

    MRS. HENRY HEYER.

    Catherine Mogk, widow of the late Henry Heyer, died early Sunday morning, June rith, 1916, at her home near Lingelbach Church, always having been in good health and her sickness being of only several days, the end came unexpected to the community. Her affliction was brought on by old age. She was born in North Easthope township on the old homestead, where she lived until shortly before her death. In 1858 she married Henry Heyer, who predeased her 34 years, leaving her in widowhood to care for a large family. This union was blessed with nine children. Three predeceased her, one dying in infancy In 1863 she was converted to God, joining the Oetzel Church. At the time of her death she was a member of the South Easthope Church. She was a faithful member of the Evangelical Association, alway having an open heart for God's cause. At the age of 76 years, 2 months, 15 days, she died resigned to God to her heavenly home. To mourn her loss she leaves two sons, John on the homestead, David in Alberta; four daugh. ters, Mrs. Martin Mohr, Mrs. John Werner and Mrs. Wm. Dewing, of North Easthope, and Mrs. Geo. Flinz of Logan; thirty-one grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host. of other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held on Tues. day, June 13th, in the Lingelbach Church, conducted by Rev. C. R. Kauth, assisted by Rev. S. E. Schrader, of Alsfeldt, and Rev, N.. Reibling, of Oetzel. Interment was made in the Oetzel cemetery.
