    Crash Victim Identified As Teacher

    A woman who died instantly in a truck-car collision Thursday has been identified as 38- year-old Mrs. Elizabeth Bachmann of 322 Braemore Ave., Waterloo.

    Mrs. Bachmann, mother of three, was on her way to her teaching position at Guelph collegiate about 8:30 a.m. when her car collided with a semi- trailer on County Road 13, five miles east of Waterloo-Wellington Airport.

    Police believe Mrs. Bachmann's car went out of control on a patch of ice and slid broadside into the oncoming Crawford Transport truck, driven by Jeffrey Dickieson of Guelph.

    CAR DEMOLISHED

    The car was demolished. Police said Mrs. Bachmann was flung out of the driver's seat. despite her fastened seat belt.

    Mrs. Bachmann is survived. by her husband Gerhard, also a teacher, and children Eva, 8, Mark, 7, and Peter, 6; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Musselmann of Baden, and two sisters, Mrs. Otto (Elfriede) Neff of Germany and Mrs. Henry (Beate) Loepp of Baden. She was predeceased by her father. Johannes Musselmann, and one sister. Mrs. Bachmann was born in Schwaigern, Germany, and lived in the Twin City area for 10 years. She was a member of Rockway Mennonite Church.

    FUNERAL SATURDAY

    The funeral service will be conducted at the Shantz Mennonite Church, between St. Agatha and Phillipsburg, at 3 p.m Saturday with Rev. John Snyder of Rockway Mennonite Church officiating.
