    Notes:

    CAMPBELL, ALEXANDER H. was born at Ailsa Craig, and he graduated from Trinity University, Toronto in 1904. He practised first in Elmvale.

    His arrival in Hespeler was announced in the Weekly Reformer, August 5, 1908:

    Dr. McKinley has disposed of his medical practice to Dr. Campbell of Ailsa Craig, who has taken possession. Dr. Campbell is a graduate of Trinity and a postgraduate of London and Edinburgh and comes highly recommended as a skilful medical practitioner and surgeon."

    He remained in Hespeler for about ten years, when he moved to Saskatoon.

    In Saskatoon, where he practised as an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, he was able to devote himself to his hobby, which was farming. He developed a noted dairy herd, and also had outstanding mink and fox ranches. In audition he experimented with the propogation of fruit trees.

    He died on April 28, 1945, having retired the previous fall, and was survived by his widow and a son.

    Dr. Campbell Is Dead Here

    Dr. Alexander H. Campbell, 66, eye, ear, nose and throat specialist here for 27 years prior to his retirement last fall, died Saturday night at his residence, 622 University Drive. In addition to his active interest in many civic and professional organizations, his chief hobby had been farming. For many years he operated a noted Holstein. dairy at Clark's Crossing. Of late years he and his son, Archie, had developed one of the Saskatoon district's most outstanding fox and mink ranches. In addition, he had carried out many experiments in the propagation of varieties of fruit trees suitable for this region. He is survived by his widow and son, Archie, recently returned from England where he served with the R.C.A.F., also three sisters, Joan. and Charlotte, Ailsa Craig, and Margaret, Medicine Hat, and a brother, Archie, Ailsa Craig Funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, May 1, at Saskatoon Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Born at Ailsa Craig. Ontario.
    Doctor Campbell graduated in medicine from University of Toronto in 1904, and practiced at Elmvale and Hespeler, Ontario, Following post graduate studies at the University of Edinburgh, and later at New York and Chicago, he practiced in Saskatoon for 27 years During his residence here he had been a member of Knox United Church, and of its session since 1924.
