    A-2-149 Jacob Kuepfer Letters of Guardianship. Whereas Nicolaus Lichty and Christian Eicher Boshart of the Township of Wilmot, Yeoman, by petition to the said Court did set forth that Jacob Kuepfer, late of the Township of Wilmot, Carpenter, died on or about the 27th day of March 1861, leaving Jacob Kuepfer his natural and lawful child, the said Jacob Kuepfer being an infant under the age of one year and that the said Jacob Kuepfer resides at the Township of Wilmot…that the said Jacob Kuepfer died intestate and without appointing any Curator or Guardian of the said infant. That due notice has been given of the petitioners intention to apply to be appointed Guardians and that your Petitioners are the natural uncles of the said infant. That Veronica Kuepfer, the mother of the said infant has given her consent in writing to such appointment and prayed that they may be appointed Guardians of the said infant, pursuant to the statute in that behalf and that letters of Guardianship might be granted to them by the said Court. Be it known that on the second day of June 1862 the said Nicolaus Lichti and Christian Eicher Boshart were appointed Guardians of him the said Jacob Kuepfer and these Letters of Guardianship are accordingly granted by the said Court to the said Nicolaus Lichti and Christian Eicher Boshart with power and authority to them to do all such acts matters and things as Guardians may or ought to do under and by virtue of any act of the parliament of Upper Canada or of this Province, relating to minors and their property…

    BOND …To the Surrogate Court, County of Waterloo. Know all men by these presents that we Nicolaus Lichti and Christian Eicher Boshart both of the township of Wilmot, in the County of Waterloo, Yeomen, Jacob Littwiller of the Township of Wilmot, Yeoman, and Leonhard Streicker of the Township of Wellesley, Yeoman, are held and firmly bound unto Jacob Kuepfer of the Township of Wilmot, the infant child of Jacob Kuepfer, late of the Township of Wilmot, aforesaid Carpenter, deceased, in the following penal sums, that is to say, the said Nicolaus Lichti in the sum of one thousand four hundred dollars, the said Christian Eicher Boshart in the sum of one thousand four hundred, the said Jacob Littwiller in the sum of one thousand four hundred, the said Leonhart Streicker in the sum of one thousand four hundred dollars…
