    BEILSTEIN, Nelson W. - At K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday, June 14, 1998, after a brief illness, Nelson William Beilstein, of Lombardy Crt., Kitchener, .aged 90 years.

    Nelson was a member of St Mark's Lutheran. Church. He had been employed with Cluett & Peabody Ltd. retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Arrow Quarter Century Club. He is the Honorary President of the Kitchener Lawn Bowling Club. A member of the Masonic Tecumseh Lodge, No. 144 A.F. and A.M., Stratford. A companion of the Royal Arch Masons, a Knight Templar, a past Perceptor of the Valet Perceptory, a member and past President of the Waterloo Shrine Club, Mocha Temple.

    Husband of the former Jessie Hales, father to Marilyn and her husband Colin Turner of Wilbertforce, brother to Mamie Beilstein of Kitchener; four grandchildren, Carolyn and her husband Marty Cresswell, James Dessler, Steven and Susan Gook; two great-grandchildren, Julia and Jeremy; step-father to Terry Hales and his wife Ruth and their daughters, - Christine Blackburn and Shelley Dongarra and their children, Matthew, Heather and James; father-in-law to Howard Dessler of Waterloo.

    Predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Mildred Brighton in 1977; one daughter, Arlene Dessler in 1996; and six brothers and sisters:

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, this evening (Tuesday) from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Shrine Club will have a service at 7:3-. Mr. Beilstein will be moved on Thursday to St. Mark's Lutheran Church at 1 p. m. , where a funeral service will be held 3 p.m., with Pastor Fred Ludolph officiating. Internment will be in Kitchener Mount Hope Cemetery.

    BEILSTEIN, Mrs. Mildred D. - At K-W Hospital, on Wednesday, October 26, 1977, after a lengthy illness, the former Mildred Dorothy Brighton of 10 Mount Lombardy Court, Kitchener, age 69 years.

    A resident of the Twin Cities all of-her life. A member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

    Wife of Nelson: mother of Mrs. Howard (Arlene) Dessler of Waterloo, Mrs. Bruce (Marilyn) Cook of Georgetown; sister of Ralph Brighton, and Mrs. Kenneth (Edith) Matthews of Route 1, Petersburg: also survived by four grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents.

    Fred Brighton - Yesterday at noon Mr. Fred Brighton, aged about thirty-three years passed away at his home, 58 DeKay Street, following an illness of influenza which later developed in pneumonia. Surviving him are his wife and three children, and to these in the great sorrow the heartfelt sympathy of the community is extended. The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon from the ? to Mt. Hope Cemetery.

    Mrs. Fred Brighton - Mrs. Fred Brighton, 79, of 58 DeKay St. died today at her home following a lengthy illness. Born in Germany, she was the former Annie M. Schultz, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Schultz. She had resided in Kitchener for more than 75 years and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Brighton was a member of the Friendship Circle and the Lutheran Church Women. Her husband died in 1918.

    Surviving are one son, Ralph of Elmwood; two daughters, Mrs. Nelson (Mildred) Bellstein and Mrs. Kenneth (Edith) Matthews, both of Kitchener; two brothers, Arthur Schultz of Guelph and Harry Schulz of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Edith Froelich of Kitchener; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Bertha Nicholson, predeceased her in 1963.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where service will be conducted Thursday at 2 pm by Rev. A.A. Schweitzer, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran church. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the memorial fund of St. Mark's Lutheran church will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

    The death occurred at Galt on February 4 of Charles Brighton, aged 70 years. The deceased is survived by his daughter in law, one son having predeceased him during the flu epidemic. His wife also predeceased him, Also surviving are one brother. George Brighton, Water street, Kitchener and his twin sister. Mrs. Anna Poure, East King street, Kitchener. The deceased was born in Germany on April 7th, 1863 and came to Canada 45 years ago settling in this city where he has lived since that time. He was employed at the Doerr candy factory and in religion was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Brighton, Mrs. Charles Nicholson and Miss Edna Schultz, all of Kitchener. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.

    Mrs. Ernestine Schultz - Death of Mrs. Ernestine Schultz occurred yesterday at her residence at 163 Waterloo St. She was 76 years old, succumbing after an illness of six weeks. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Draeger, she was born on Sept. 25, 1869, in Germany, coming to Kitchener some 60 years ago. She attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies' Aid Society and the mutual Aid Society of the church. Her husband, Frederick Schultz, died 13 years ago. Surviving are two sons, Arthur F. Schultz and Harry H. Schultz, both of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Froelich, Mrs. Annie Brighton and Mrs. Charles Nicholson, all of this city, two brothers, Gustav Draeger of this city and Albert of Athabasca, Alta., and one sister, Mrs. Peter Binkley of Waterloo. There are nine grandchildren. The funeral will be held tomorrow from the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home at 2 pm with interment in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. A. W. Lutz will officiate. Remains are resting at the funeral home.
