    ISRAEL BRUBACHER.

The "City Grocery" is a familiar resort for grocery buyers from every direction because they are seldom turned away without getting what they want. Mr. Brubacher first saw the light of day at Hawksville in 1866. His first experience in learning how to provide for himself at the close of his school days was in working for his father in the woollen mill at Baden. The grocery was established here about six years ago, but it was in charge of his brother, Solomon Brubacher, until about a year ago, when he came and took possession himself. He has everything that is to be found in a first-class modern grocery store, fancy groceries, confectionery, etc. In the latter he has an exceptionally fine display. He also keeps on hand a fine lot of woollen goods, which are manufactured at his father's woollen factory in Baden. In connection with his grocery department he keeps continually on hand a large supply of flour and feed. He also buys grain for the local trade and has an elevator for that purpose. He formerly purchased grain for export, but abandoned that some time ago, in order to give better attention to his retail trade. He has earned a lucrative patronage and is today one of Elmira's reliable and successful business men, and supports a family consisting of a wife and three children. Keep peace in your family by buying your groceries from Israel Brubacher. He is headquarters for fine teas and coffees. Those. calling at his store will always find nice, fresh goods. Give him a call.
