    WILHELM, PAUL Passed away at Grand River Retirement Residence Monday, January 25, 2016. Brother to Joyce, Uncle to Jenna. Predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Wilma (nee Schneider) Wilhelm.     WELLESLEY, Jan. 5. - Andrew R. Wilhelm, 70, died suddenly at his home in Wellesley yesterday.

    He was born in North Easthope, May 27, 1878, and farmed there all his life prior to retiring in Wellesley a few years ago.

    He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wilhelm. Surviving, besides his widow, the former Emma Paff, are two sons Oliver, North Easthope; Cecil, Kingwood; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Lohr, Milverton and Miss Barbara, North Easthope. Five grandchildren also survive.

    Funeral will be held from the home in Wellesley at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. W.H. Campbell officiating. It will be followed by a memorial service at the North Easthope Reform Mennonite Church at 3 p.m. with Rev. Harvey Gamp, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be made in Lisbon Evangelical Cemetery. The body is resting at the home.

    WELLESLEY - Mrs. Andrew Wilhelm, 81, of North Easthope Township died today at K-W Hospital after a brief illness.

    She was born in Wilmot township, May 2, 1883, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Paff. She was a member of Lisbon Evangelical United Brethren Church. For the past three years she has lived with her son, Oliver, in North Easthope Township. Before that she lived in Wellesley.

    She is survived by two sons, Cecil of RR 2, Petersburg, and Oliver of RR 1, Gadshill; two sisters, Mrs. Nathan (Margaret) Ratz of Baden and Olive Paff of Baden; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew, in 1949, and by one brother. The body will be at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, after noon Wednesday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

    HEIDELBERG, Aug. 30.- Herbert Schneider, 64, R.R. 3, Waterloo, died at his home yesterday after being ill about one year.
    A native of Woolwich Township, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schneider. He was a member of Heidelberg Evangelical United Church.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Edna Lichty; two sons, Harry and Murray, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Oliver (Wilma) Wilhelm, R.R. 1, Gadshill; Mrs. Erle (Jean) Steiss, London, Ont.; three brothers, William, Sebringville; Clayton and Emil, R.R. 3 Waterloo, and one sister, Mrs. Florence Scholl, Waterloo. Two grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by two children.

    The body is resting at his home where the funeral will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m., followed by a service in Heidelberg Evangelical United Church. Interment will be in the Evangelical Cemetery. Rev. A. E. Pletch will officiate.

    Dear mother of Mrs. Oliver (Willma) Wilhelm of Route 1, Gadshill, Harry D. of Route 3, Waterloo, Mrs. E. A. (Jean) Steiss of Waterloo, and Murray J. of Cambridge; also survived by 12 grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Clara Dreisinger of Elmira and Gordon Lichty of St. Jacobs. She was predeceased by her husband in August 1950, one son, two daughters and one brother also predeceased.

    Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Parler, Elmira, until Sunday, at 1: 30 p.m. when removal will be made to Trinity United Church, Elmira, for funeral services at 3 p.m. Interment Hillside cemetery, Heidelberg.

    Mrs. Ludwig Paff

    After some months of suffering, Anna Eva Schmidt, relict of the late Ludwig Paff, of Wilmot, passed to her reward on Saturday at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 16 days.

    Her ailment, which commenced two years ago was heart trouble, and she seemed at times to be quite well. About six months ago her illness became serious and the family expected she would not recover, but she again gained strength and the attending physician was quite hopeful of her recovery: Her passing away on Saturday morning was unexpected.

    Deceased was born in North Easthope where she lived for some time. She was a woman possessed of a quiet disposition and was held in the highest esteem by all her acquaintances. She was a staunch supporter of the Lisbon Evangelical church. Her husband predeceased her on December 25th, 1927 and two daughters died a number of years ago.

    She is survived by four daughters and one son, namely, Emma, Mrs. A. R. Wilhelm, of North Easthope, Margaret, Mrs. Nathan Ratz, of Kitchener; Olive and Clara, at home, and William, on the old homestead, to all of whom is extended the deepest sympathy of the whole community in their sad bereavement.

    She also leaves to mourn her departure three sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Catherine Ehnen, North Easthope; Mrs. Caspar Braunn, Kitchener; Mrs. Valentine Knechtel, Kitchener; Henry B. Schmidt, Lansing, Ont.; C. B. Schmidt, North Easthope; G. B. Schmidt, North Easthope. and Dr. W. J. Schmidt, Kitchener. One brother, J. F. Schmidt, of New Hamburg, passed away last May.

    The funeral took place last Tuesday afternoon to the Lisbon church and cemetery and was largely attended. Rev. W. S. Henrick, of Roseville, a former pastor, preached in the German language and Rev. J. Oestricher. pastor of the church preached in English.
