    FORMER TAVISTOCK HOTELKEEPER DIES

    Tavistock suffered the loss of well known and highly respected resident in the person of Jacob Meisner, who passed away at the family home Monday afternoon, following two years' illness. Deceased, who was in his 77th year. was a native of Perth County, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Meisner, and was born on a farm in the Township of North Easthope. On his marriage in 1879 he moved to the farm at lot 24, concession 13, in The Township of East Zorra. He came to Tavistock 25 years ago and purchased the Commercial Hotel, which he conducted until his retirement in 1916.

    Deceased was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastopol.

    Besides his widow he is survived by two sons, Adam, of East Zorra, and John, of Waterloo, and two daughters. Mrs. Harry Green, of Tavistock, and Mrs. O. Schaefer of Kitchener: two brothers, John of Winnipeg. Man., and George. of Windso, a sister, Mrs. Eidt. of Wellesley.

    The funeral will be held from his late residene Friday afternoon, with services at the house at 1.20 o'clock. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Sebastopol.
