    Notes:

    Dianne Mae (Knoblauch) Rellinger, formerly of Milverton and Listowel, passed away peacefully at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth on Thursday August 27, 2020 at the age of 69. Dianne worked for many years at Cooper Standard Automotive in Stratford and retired in 2011. She was a volunteer with North Perth Hospice for a time. Dianne enjoyed reading and the time spent with her family. She loved travelling and camping over many years.

    Dianne was born in New Hamburg on March 15, 1951, a daughter of the late Almon and Annie Mae (Ropp) Roth. She is survived by her sister Shirley (Herb) Wagler, brothers Ervin and Ed Roth, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Brenda Roth, Wayne (Mary Lou) Knoblauch, Richard (Glenda) Knoblauch and Lorna Knoblauch. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by her husband Bill Knoblauch, friend Alex Henry, her sister and brother-in-law Nelda and Del Roth, brother Mayne, sisters-in-law Marie Roth and Wanda Roth, nephew-in-law Cliff Elliott, father-in-law and mother-in-law Claude and Lavina Knoblauch, sister-in-law Diane Knoblauch and brother-in-law Daryl Knoblauch.

    Interment in Poole Mennonite Cemetery.

    Menno B., son of the late John and Annie (Bellar) Ropp, was born in Perth Co., Ont., April 16, 1880*; passed away suddenly of a heart attack, Nov. 12, 1953, while on his way to Kitchener, Ont., to visit his sister who was a patient at the K. and W. Hospital ; aged 64 y. 6 m. 27 d. He confessed Christ as his personal Saviour in his youth and united with the A. M. congregation at Poole, later transferring his membership to the East Zorra Church where he served faithfully for many years. In 1914 he was united in marriage to Annie Schlegel (nee Yantzi) who survives him. Also surviving him are the following children (Annie Mae-Mrs. Almon Roth and Frieda-Mrs. Wilmer Baechler, both of South Weasthope; Gloyd, Ailsa Craig, Ont.; Neil, Wilmot, Ont.; Irma-Mrs. Stanley Lichiti and Ada-Mrs. Christ Bender, both of East Zorra), 5 stepchildren (Selna-Mrs. Ed. Brenneman; Barbara-Mrs. Joe Zehr, Edna-Mrs. Henry Schumn, and Omer and Ezra Schlegel, all of East Zorra), 4 brothers and 4 sisters (Sam, Peter, Chris, William, Sarah-Mrs. Peter Brunk, Anna-Mrs. John Brunk, Emma-Mrs. Noah Steckley, and Susanna-Mrs. J.     David B. Roth - By Record Correspondent

    Baden, Dec. 7 - David B. Roth, 83, well-known resident of Baden, died today as a result of injuries sustained when he was knocked from a load of hay by a swinging barn door one month ago. The deceased was engaged in unloading a wagon load of hay, assisted by his wife, when a sudden gust of wind caught the door and knocked him to the ground.

    The last Mr. Roth, a life-long resident of this district, was born near Baden in 1853. He was a son of the late Mr. John and Katie Roth. A member of Steinman's Amish Mennonite church, Mr. Roth won distinction during his younger life when he used oxen to cultivate his farm instead of horses. Mr. Roth is also the owner of a valuable collection of Indian relics as well as several oxen yokes he made himself.

    Surviving are his widow, three sons, Samuel, owner of Roth's Garage n Baden, Noah of Tavistock, and Daniel of Baden, two daughters, Mrs. S. Ruby of Kitchener, and Mrs. P. Steinman of Baden, one sister, Mrs. Jacob Gardner of Baden. One son and one daughter predeceased him.

    Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock from the residence to
    Steinman Amish Mennonite church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    BADEN. Oct 19 - Ninety-year-old David B. Roth of this village died yesterday at 10: 30 a.m. at her home after an illness of 18 days.

    Born in 1854 in Baden, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Miller, she attended the Steinman Amish Mennonite Church. Her husband predeceased her six years ago.

    Surviving are three sons, Noah Miller Roth of Baden, Dan Miller Roth of Preston and Sam Miller Roth of Baden; two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Mary) Ruby of Kitchener and Mrs. Peter (Lydia) Steinman of Baden; a brother, Christian R. Miller of Petersburg, Florida, 38 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. One son, Moses Miller Roth and a daughter, Mrs. Jacob (Katie) Jutzi, predeceased Mrs. Roth.

    The funeral will be held publicly on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1: 30 p.m. from the residence. Church services held at the Steinman Amish Mennonite Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Bishop Moses Jantzi will officiate.

    John B Jutzi - (By Chronicle Correspondent) - BADEN - Bishop M. Hallman and D. S. Jutzi officiated at funeral services of John B. Jutzi, held at Steinman's Amish Mennonite Church, yesterday. Burial was made in Wilmot Centre cemetery. Ill for a lengthy period, Mr. Jutzi passed away early Monday at his home, R.R. 2, Petersburg, in his 78th year. Surviving are his wife, formerly Elizabeth Jantzi, three sons, John of Petersburg, Simeon of Baden and Rudy of Milverton, five daughters, Mrs. Louis Gingerich and Mrs. Noah Jantzi, both of R.R. 2, Petersburg, Mrs. Peter Nafziger of R.R. 2, Baden, Mrs. Daniel Roth of Tavistock, and Miss Nancy Jutzi at home.

She is survived by 5 daughters (Katharine, Mrs. Louis Gingerich, Petersburg; Elisabeth, Mrs. Peter Nafziger, Baden, Ont.; Nancy, at home; Veronica, Mrs. Daniel Roth, Preston, Ont.; Magdalena, Mrs. Noah Jantzi, Petersburg, 3 sons (Simeon and John, Kitchener, Ont.; Rudy, Milverton, Ont.), one brother (Moses Jantzi, Fergus, Ont.), 34 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Eleven brothers, 3 sisters, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren predeceased her. Funeral services were held May 5, 1944, at the home by Bro. Benjamin Gingerich, and at the Steinman Church by Bros. Moses Jantzi and Manasseh Hallman. Text, John 17: 24. Interment was made in the Steinman Cemetery.

    In Loving Memory Died In Wilmot, on Tuesday, May 2nd, 1944 Mrs. Elizabeth Jutzi Widow of the late John B. Jutzi Aged; 81 years and 2 months. The Funeral will take place from her late residence on Friday, May 5th, at 1 o'clock p.m., to Steinman's A.-M. Church for service and interment in Wilmot Centre Cemetery. Her long awaited wish came true - To find rest in that heavenly home; Her mind was free, her heart was pure, When she fell asleep, in peace, forevermore.     Yantzi. - Michael K. Yantzi was born in France, Aug. 22, 1847; died in North East Hope, Ont., on July 6, 1917; aged 69 y. 10 m. 14 d. He came with his parents to Canada when he was about two years old.

    In his early youth he accepted Christ as his Savior, was baptized, and remained faithful to the end as a member of the Amish Mennonite Church. On Dec. 3, 1872, he was married to Barbara Ruby and lived in matrimony 42 y. 2 m. 3 d. To this union were born 6 sons and 5 daughters. His wife and 1 son preceded him to the spirit world. He leaves to mourn their loss 5 sons, 5 daughters, 20 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters.

    On Sept. 9, 1883, he was ordained as deacon in East Zorra A. M. Church, on April 20, 1902, he was called to the ministry and on Oct. 21, 1914, he was ordained as bishop in the East Zorra A. M. congregation, in which capacities he faithfully served his Lord and Master. He was buried on July 9 at the E. Z. A. M. church where services were conducted by C. Kropf and D. M. Steinman.
