    Of Route 1, New Hamburg, passed away Sunday, May 4, 1975, at his home; he was born in North Easthope Township 55 years ago.

    Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Heyer; dear husband of Magdelene Dietz; father of David, Douglas, Donald, Dianne all at home; brother of Clayton and Edwin, both of Route 1, New Hamburg, Arthur of Wiseton, Sask., Mrs. Pearl Derner of Kitchener, Florence (Mrs. Eric Kuehn) of Route 3, Waterloo, Mary (Mrs. Milton Newmaster) of Route 1, Milverton.

    Friends may call at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley; family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. At noon Tuesday, May 6, the remains will be removed to the St. Agatha Mennonite Church for a service at 3 p.m., Rev. Gerald Schwartzentruber officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

    Expressions of sympathy may be shown by contributions to the Western Ontario Mennonite Mission Board.

    At the request of the family, the casket will remain closed.

    HEYER, Magdalene Peacefully, on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener.

    She resided in New Hamburg and was born 72 years ago in Waterloo County. She was the daughter of the late John and Ida (Wagler) Dietz. Magdalene was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church and a former member of the Wilmot Horticultural Society. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and gardening.

    Beloved wife of Roy Heyer who predeceased her in 1975. Dear mother of Dave and his wife Sharon Heyer, Doug and his wife Carolyn Heyer and Diane Heyer and mother-in-law to Debbie Heyer, all of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Clare Dietz of RR 1, Milverton. Also remembered by her sister-in-law Mabel Wagler of Wellesley and brother-in-law Edwin and his wife Dorothy Heyer of New Hamburg and also nieces and nephews. Magdalene was predeceased by her son, Don in 1993 and a brother, Earl Dietz.

    Family and friends called at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg until Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 (today) when the committal service will be held at St. Agatha Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:30p.m. at St. Agatha Mennonite Church, Pastor Doug Snyder officiating.

    John Heyer, N. Easthope, Fatally Hurt In Crash

    NEW HAMBURG, Sept. 9. Mr. John Heyer, a well known resident of North Easthope, passed away at St. Anthony's Hospital, Michigan City. Ind., following a motor accident while on a trip through Michigan and Indiana. The accident occurred on Tuesday and death came late Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Heyer. who accompanied her husband on the trip was also seriously hurt and is still in the hospital. Details of the accident are not available. The late Mr. Heyer was born 65 years ago and lived his entire life on the farm where he resided up till his death. Surviving are his wife; four sons, Clayton, Arthur and Edwin, at home, and Roy of Kitchener; also two daughters, Mary of Toronto and Pearl in Waterloo. One brother, David, of Vancouver, B. C., and three sisters. Mrs. Margaret Mohr of North Easthope, Mrs. Wm. Dewing of Mitchell and Mrs. Geo. Hinz of Logan. The funeral service will be held at the Oetzels Evangelical church. of which Mr. Heyer was a lifelong adherent. Burial will be made in Oetzels cemetery. A private service will be held at his late residence at 2 p.m., followed by a public service at the church at 2.30. Rev. K. Gretzinger will be the officiating clergyman.

    NEW HAMBURG - Mrs. John Heyer, 8I, of RR 3, New Hamburg, died Saturday at her home.

    Born in North Easthope Township, she was the former Clara Schmidt and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Balzer Schmidt. She lived in North Easthope all her life.

    She was a member of Oetzels Evangelical United Brethren Church. She was predeceased by her husband in 1938 and by three brothers and one sister.

    Surviving are four sons, Clayton, Edwin and Roy, all of RR 3, New Hamburg and Arthur of Wiseton, Sask., three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Dormer of North Easthope Township; Mrs. Eric (Florence) Kuehen of RR 3, Waterloo; Mrs. Milton (Mary) Neumeister of RR 1, Milverton; two sisters, Mrs. A. F. (Emma) Dorscht of New Hamburg and Mrs. Edward (Martha) Hartung of Gowanstown. There are 13 grandchildren.

    The body will be at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home until noon Wednesday when removal will be made to Oetzels EUB Church for. service at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Ronald Amy. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    John Dietz of RR 3, Waterloo, died Saturday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 87.

    Mr. Dietz was born at Rummelhardt and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dietz. He farmed all his life in the Waterloo area and was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Ida Wagler; two sons, Earl and Clare, both at home; one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Magdalene) Heyer of RR 1, New Hamburg; one step-sister, Mrs. Annie Cuseck of Toronto, and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

    The body will be at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home until Tuesday noon when removal will be made to St. Agatha Mennonite Church for service at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Donations to the Gideon memorial Bible plan and the western Ontario Mennonite mission board will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

    The former Ida Wagler, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Wagler. She was born in Wilmot Township and was a member of the St. Agatha Mennonite Church and the Women's Auxiliary. She had lived in Brunner the past three years.

    Mrs. Ditz was predeceased by her husband and by one brother, Simon.

    MRS. HENRY HEYER.

    Catherine Mogk, widow of the late Henry Heyer, died early Sunday morning, June rith, 1916, at her home near Lingelbach Church, always having been in good health and her sickness being of only several days, the end came unexpected to the community. Her affliction was brought on by old age. She was born in North Easthope township on the old homestead, where she lived until shortly before her death. In 1858 she married Henry Heyer, who predeased her 34 years, leaving her in widowhood to care for a large family. This union was blessed with nine children. Three predeceased her, one dying in infancy In 1863 she was converted to God, joining the Oetzel Church. At the time of her death she was a member of the South Easthope Church. She was a faithful member of the Evangelical Association, alway having an open heart for God's cause. At the age of 76 years, 2 months, 15 days, she died resigned to God to her heavenly home. To mourn her loss she leaves two sons, John on the homestead, David in Alberta; four daugh. ters, Mrs. Martin Mohr, Mrs. John Werner and Mrs. Wm. Dewing, of North Easthope, and Mrs. Geo. Flinz of Logan; thirty-one grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host. of other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held on Tues. day, June 13th, in the Lingelbach Church, conducted by Rev. C. R. Kauth, assisted by Rev. S. E. Schrader, of Alsfeldt, and Rev, N.. Reibling, of Oetzel. Interment was made in the Oetzel cemetery.

    Mr. Henry Dietz

    One of the oldest and best known farmers of the district passed away in Rummelhardt on Friday in the person of Henry Dietz. He was 77 years of age, 60 years of which he spent in Rummelhardt, after coming to Canada at the age of seven years. His wife predeceased him in 1927.

    There survive three sons, John of Rummelhardt, George of Waterloo, and Jacob of Wilmot township, two daughters, Mrs. John Fleischauer, Milverton and Mrs. Wm. Kimpel, Kitchener, also 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

    The funeral was held from his late residence on Monday afternoon to Waterloo Mount Hope cemetery for interment.

    Isaac Wagler

    BADEN, Aug. 14. - The death occurred at St. Agatha yesterday of Isaac Wagler, 75 The deceased was born in Wilmot Township, Jan. 18, 1872. His death followed a lingering illness. He was a son of the late Christian and Magdalene Wagler.

    Surviving are his widow, Catherine Litwiller; two sons, Elmer of New Hamburg, Ervin of St. Agatha: 3 eight daughters Mrs. Noah (Victoria) Boshart, Baden, Mrs. John (Ida) Dietz, Waterloo, Mrs. John (Katie) Leis. New Hamburg. Mrs. Elmer (Mattie) Schwartzentruber, Baden, Mrs. Eli (Sarah) Zehr, St. Agatha. Mrs. Erie (Vera) Schulz, Kitchener, Mrs. Ervin (Verna) Zehr, Milver- ton, Mrs. Jonas (Laura) Wagler, St. Agatha; two sisters, Mrs. Jonathan Jantzi, Kitchener, and Mrs. C. B. Jantzi, Pine Hill. Thirty-nine grand- children and two great grandchildren survive. Two sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren predeceased him.

    A service will be held at the home of his son-in-law, Eli Zehr. St. Agatha at 2:00p.m., Saturday. A public service will be held at the St. Agatha A.M. Church. Interment will be made in St. Agatha A.M Cemetery. Rev. Benjamin Gingerich will officiate.
