The death took place suddenly at Santa Ann, Cal. of John Davenport a former resident of Kitchener. Last winter he went to California and resided with his daughter. Mrs. Wm. Schade and John Davenport, Jr. of Kitchener are children.

Mrs. Martha Davenport

Funeral services will be held this (Friday) afternoon for Mrs. Martha Davenport, who died Wednesday on her 80th year, at the home of her son, John Davenport, Pine St., Kitchener. She had been in ill health for a year.

Mrs. Davenport, who was an adherent of the Church of the Holy Saviour, was predeceased by her husband 15 years ago.

She is survived by one son, three daughters, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral is being held from the home of her son, Pine St., at 2:30 o'clock to Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo, for interment. Canon R. J. Seton-Adamson will officiate.
