    Helmuth, --- Moses, son of the late Dan and Catherine (Swartzentruber) Helmuth, was born in Perth County, Ontario, March 5, 1878; after a period of ill health passed to his eternal reward March 26, 1953; aged 75 y. 21 d. In his youth he united with the East Zorra A. M. Church, of which he was a member until his death. On March 11, 1901, he was married to Catherine Sommer, who preceded him in death. On July 31, 1917, he was married to Sarah Roth, who survives. Also left to mourn his departure are 3 sons (Glen, Stuart, and Lorne, at home), 2 daughters (Dorothy-Mrs. Mervin Kropf, Wellesley, Ont.; and Elda-Mrs. Vernon Nofziger, West Zorra, Ont.), one sister (Mrs. Mattie Gingerich, Seaforth, Ont.), and 6 grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death. Fuenral services were held at the East Zorra Church, in charge of David Swartzentruber and Henry Yantzi, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Roth, and Sarah wife of Moses Helmuth), 24 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters. He was born in Ontario and moved to Erie Co., N.Y., in 1922, where he also died. Funeral services were held Jan. 21 at the Brethren Church at Clarence Center, N.Y., conducted by John Bontrager and J.W. Birkey. Burial in the Old Mennonite Cemetery. The brother was a member of the Conservative A. M. Church.

    Died in New York State

    The death occurred at Clarence Centre, N.Y, on Monday of Daniel D. Roth, at the age of 72 years. The deceased was born in East Zorra and farmed in that township for many years. He moved to New York State about ten years ago. He leaves his wife who before her marriage was Katharine Jantzi, five daughters, Mrs. Daniel Otto, of Tavistock, Mrs. Jas. Mutch, of Hickson, Mrs. Moses Helmuth of East Zorra, Mrs. Chr. Bellar of Clarence Centre, Katie at home and on son, Nicholas, in the West. He is also survived by three brothers, Jacob, D. Roth, South Easthope, Christian D. Roth, of Cassel, and Nich D. Roth of Clarence Centre, also five sisters, Mrs. John Gascho, Michigan, Mrs. David Roes, Milverton, Mrs. Eli King, Ronks, Pa., Mrs. Joseph Kropf, New Hamburg, and Mrs. Daniel Jutzi, of East Zorra. The funeral took place at Clarence Centre yesterday and a number of relatives from here left to attend.

On Dec. 21, 1881, she was married to Daniel Roth, who preceded her in death in 1932. Surviving are 7 children (Fannie Beller, Clarence Center, N. Y.; Anna Otto, Tavistock, Ont.; Catherine, Clarence Center, N.Y.; Nickolas, Regina, Mont.; Elizabeth Mutch, Woodstock, Ont.; Lena Roth, Darien, N. Y. and Sarah Helmuth, Blight, Ont.), 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and one sister (Mrs. Fannie Jantz, Wellseley, Ont.). One son, (Moses) preceded her in death. She with her husband and family moved to the Clarence Center community in 1921, where she was a resident until death. Early in life she accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the Mennonite Church, remaining a faithful member. Funeral services were held at the Clarence Center Mennonite Church, Clarence, N.Y., Jan. 9, in charge of D. Edward Diener and Jacob Birkey. Interment was made in the Good Cemetery.

    Mrs. Catherine Roth

    A native of Waterloo County, Mrs. Catherine Roth, 90, died Jan. 6, at her home in Clarence Centre, N.Y. A daughter of the late John and Fannie Jantzi she was born in Waterloo County, March 4, 1862. Funeral services were held at Clarence Centre Mennonite Church, Clarence, Jan. 9. Interment was made in Good Cemetery, Clarence. Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. Fannie Beller, Clarence Centre; Mrs. Anna Otto, Tavistock; Mrs. Elizabeth Mutch, Woodstock, [rest of obituary was not photocopied]
