    Geo. Dahmer Killed by Train

    Well Known Citizen Struck by 11.20 G. T. R. Express

    This Morning met Death Instantly - Was 59 Years of Age.

    George Dahmer, aged 59, a yard man of the G. T. R., was instantly killed by being struck by the 11.20 passenger train from Toronto, while working in the vicinity of the garet Avenue bridge this morning

    The fatality occurred at 11.45 Dahmer was working alone in yards cleaning switches. The manner in which he met death is not known. It is believed that he did not know of the rapidly approaching train.

    The body was hurled to one side. The head was considerably crushed and the legs and hips broken.

    It was removed to Simpson's undertaking parlors. Coroner Honsberger ordered an inquest to be held at four o'clock this afternoon.
    Dahmer is a man of 59 years. He is survived by a wife and five children, viz: Mrs, Geo. Klitzke, Bridgeport: Mrs. Robert Appleby, King Street, Berlin, Chas. Dahmer, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Albert Butler, Toronto and Mrs. Fred. Hofheinz, 131 Breithaupt street, with home he lived.

    Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been completed.
