Mrs. John P. Ritchie

Former Ayr resident Elma Jane Ritchie passed away at St. Andrews Residence, Chatham on Sunday, December 27, 1998. She was in her 106th year. Born in Dresden, she was a daughter of Thomas King and Victoria Dolson. For many years Mrs. Ritchie had served as choir leader and organist at Knox United Church. She also taught piano. She moved from Ayr in 1963. Predeceased by her husband John P. Ritchie in 1952. Survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral service and interment at Ayr Cemetery on December 29th. Rev. Carol Lawrence of Plattsville United Church officiated.
