DEATH OF R. TUNNEY

Robert Tunney, after a somewhat tedious illness, passed away at his home on Fulton street on Tuesday. He had been in failing health for several months and those who met him could not but see that his strength was fast failing, but he was only confined to bed for a short time.

Mr. Tunney was born at Westfield and lived in that vicinity until 1916, when he came to Clinton. He was twice married, his second wife, Mrs. Butler, whom he married fourteen years ago, surviving him. One daughter by his first marriage, Miss May Tunney of Ayr, also survives.

Mr. Tunney was of a naturally active and energetic nature and until his health failed assisted his stepsons, the Messrs. Butler, in their butchering business. He was of a social disposition and loved a chat with old friends. He was connected with the Presbyterian church. The funeral takes place this afternoon to Clinton cemetery.
