    Kenneth Vivian

    Bute Street, Ayr resident Kenneth Leslie Vivian died at Sunnyside Home, Kitchener on Tuesday, November 9, 2004. Ken was in his 75th year.

    Born in Galt he was son of the late Francis Alice Page and James Leonard Vivian. He moved to Ayr in 1984 and was a 27 year employee with Frink Canada in Cambridge.

    He is survived by his wife, Mary Osborn; six children, Marg Harding of Cambridge, Ken and Lorilee of Ayr, Glen of Cambridge, Bryan and Sharron of Brantford, John and Judy of Ayr, Jeff and Linda of Paris; fourteen grand-children and one great grandchild.

    In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Leonard.

    Funeral service was held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home on Friday, November 12th. Reverend France Ouimet-Wilson of Christ Anglican Church officiated. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery.

    James L. Vivian Passes - James Leonard Vivian, Bute St., Ayr, died on Sunday, April 30, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital in his 72nd year. Born in Newquay, England on May 1, 1895, he moved to the United States in 1913 and then came to Canada to enlist in the Lord Strathcona's Royal Canadian Horse Regiment in the First World War. He served in France during the war until 1919 and then lived in Toronto before going to Galt in 1928. Mr. Vivian worked for Babcock-Wilcox and Goldie-McCulloch Ltd., and also for the Canadian General Tower Ltd. He also served on convoy duty during the Second World War. Mr. Vivian moved to Ayr 18 months ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Frances Alice Page; two sons, Leonard of Colgan, Ont., and Kenneth of RR 1, Ayr; a stepsister in England; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held from Coutts and Son Funeral Home, Galt, on Tuesday. Rev. N. A. Tilford of Christ Anglican Church, Ayr, conducted the service. Interment was made in Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Lewis Price, Cecil Robins and Glen Dykeman, all of Galt; Harry Nicholls, Preston; Jesse Osbourne, RR 1, and Fred Easton, Glen Morris.

    Frances Vivian

    Mrs. Frances A. Vivian, formerly of Ayr, passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 16th. She was in her 94th year. Born in England, the former Frances Page, Mrs. Vivian was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Ayr. Predeceased by her husband James in 1967, also a son Leonard. Survived by a son Kenneth of Ayr; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Rested at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, Galt, until Tuesday afternoon when service was held at Christ Anglican Church, Ayr. Rev. Roy Shepherd of Christ Church officiated. Interment Ayr Cemetery.
