ILES, Pauline (nee Brooks) - Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre, Brantford, on Friday, December 7, 2007, a longtime resident of Ayr, in her 87th year. Pauline was a very dedicated family person who cherished time at the cottage. She enjoyed sports, especially hockey, and the outdoors. Beloved wife of the late Henry "Curly" (1999). Loved mother to Ron (Gay) of Ayr and Janette Herrin (Vern) of Wolverton. Cherished Nanny to Verna Bandi of Woodstock and Jason (Colleen) of Ayr and great-grandmother to Dawson and Emma Bandi and Mac and Taylor Iles. Dear sister to Alice Beechey of Brantford. Predeceased by her brother, John Brooks. A family service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2007 at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home , 183 Northumberland St., Ayr, Pastor Ralph Meiszinger of Paris Baptist Church and Rev. John MacPhail officiating. Mrs. George Myke Passes

The death occurred at Brantford General Hospital on Friday, in her 66th year, of Mrs. George Myke, the former Janet Welsh of, RR 3, Brantford. Surviving, besides her husband are a son, John Brooks of Brantford; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Pauline) Iles and Mrs. Leonard (Alice) Hooton of Ayr; a sister, Mrs. Mark (Agnes) Harrison of Paris, and brothers, Jack and James Welsh of Brantford. Several stepchildren and grandchildren also survive. Funeral service was held Monday at Cumming's Funeral Home, Paris, with interment in Ayr Cemetery.
