    GRAHAM, Edward Preston Of 43 Fallbrook Lane, Cambridge, on Tuesday, May 16, 1989, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 83rdyear. Beloved husband of Mabel Osgood; dear father of Edward (Ted) and his wife Eleanor of Cambridge, Barbara (Mrs. Robert Peel) of Bobcaygeon. Also dear grandfather of Sherilyn and Suzanne Graham, Rob, John and Dan Peel. Mr. Graham was born in Cambridge (Galt) and lived all his life in Cambridge. Retired Preston business man,"Knotty Pine Coffee Bar,Graham Petroleums and Crest Mineral Springs Hotel". Also noted for Hackney show horses. Member of St. Paul's United Church; Preston Masonic Lodge and the Preston Hespeler Rotary Club. Former Preston Councillor and member of the Parks Board. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Thursday, May 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Private funeral service will be conducted, Friday, at the funeral home. Interment in Preston cemetery.

    Edward Preston Graham was the son of William Graham and Cornelia Hagey, moved to Preston about 1936 became a businessman and involved himself in local politics. he operated the Graham Bros. Service Station from 1936-1946 then Graham Motors from about 1946-1956. He acted as president of Graham Petroleum from 1956 to 1971. He with partner H. A. Volker purchased the Kress Hotel in a tax sale it had ceased to operate in 1942, buying out Volker's share he in 1945 extensively renovated and redecorated the hotel. In 1945 it reopened the two side were set to accommodate 150 employees of the Merchant's Rubber Company of Kitchener. He sold in 1968 to William Bray. He was on Preston town council and a life member of the Preston Parks Board. He was a life member of the Waterloo Historical Society and was known for his Hackney show ponies.

    Laid at Rest.

    The funeral of the late Levi Hageywas held on Thursday afternoon from his late residence, Kress Hill. Services were conducted at the house
    and Interment took place at Preston, cemetery. The funeral was largelyattended.

    The death occurred on Saturday evening of one of the town's most highly respected citizens in the person of Isabella Clemens, widow of Levi Hagey. Deceased was born in Waterloo township and has been a resident of Preston and vicinity all of her life.she was well known throughout the vicinity and loved by all.She was of a kind disposition, an affectionate mother, a good neighbor, and a friend of every one. She was a member of the Methodist Church and in her younger years took an active interest in church work. She leaves to mourn her loss the following children: Mrs. James Woolner, Kitchener, and Mrs William Graham of Preston. The Funeral will be held tomorrow,Tuesday, afternoon at 3o'clock from her late residence, Kress Hill, services at the house.

    Mrs. Isabella Hagey Dead

    The death took place on Saturday of Mrs. Isabella Hagey, a well known and highly respected citizen of Preston. She has been alling for some time, never-the-less the news of her death will be a great shock to her many friends and relatives in this district. She was of a very kindly nature and made friends with all in whom she came in contact with. She was a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist Church. Her husband the late Levi Hagey predeceased her some time ago. Mr. Ed. Clemens, Medicine Hat, is a brother. Two daughter survive, Jas. H. Woolner, Kitchener and Mrs. William Graham of thistown. The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved family. The funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon at Hagey's cemetery. Services will be held at the residence of Mrs. Joel Clemens, mother of the deceased, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

    Jacob Hagey, "the eldest son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Bergey) Hagey, was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, January 13th, 1808. In 1822, he, in company with his parents and others, came to Canada and settled at Preston, Ontario. He was married to Leah, daughter of Christian and Sophia (Ruth) Schwartz. She was born November 15th, 1811, and died May 28th, 1882. They resided at Preston, on the farm now possessed by their youngest son, Levi. He died April 9th, 1893. When a young man he was ordained deacon of the Mennonite Church for the Hagey field of labor. He was a man that was held in high esteem in the community for his many excellent social and religious qualities. It is doubtful whether he had a single enemy. His family consisted of eight children".

    HAGEY - On the 19th of April, 1893, near Preston, Waterloo Twp., Waterloo Co., Ont., of infirmities of old age, Deacon Jacob Hagey. Buried on the 22d at Hagey's meeting-house where relatives and friends met to pay the last tribute of respect. His age was 85 years, 2 months and 26 days. Funeral services by J.B.. Gingrich at the house and Moses Bowman at the meeting-house, from 2 Cor. 4: 17, 18 and 5: 1. Bro. Hagey was ordained to the office of deacon on the 2d of December, 1832
