Edenborough, Harry, "Diggy" - Peacefully, on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Harry Edenborough, in his 92^nd year, of Elmira. Beloved husband of Margaret (Williams) Edenborough for 63 years. Devoted father of Doug and Joan of West Montrose and Bob of Waterloo and father-in-law of Misuzu Yoshino of Japan. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Matthew (Robin), Joey and David, Penny and Jeff Maillette and Ryan Edenborough and Lisa of Japan and his great-grandchildren, Cameron, Madeline and Joey Maillette. Also survived by his nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his youngest son, Ross (1991). The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Saturday transfer will be made to Trinity United Church, Elmira for funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Jagger officiating followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. In his memory donations to War Amps or Shriners Children's Hospital would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The Glenrose Masonic Lodge AF and AM No.628 Elmira will assemble for a memorial service on Friday evening (tonight) at 6: 30 p.m. at the funeral home.

An example of the sincerity of the Old Order Mennonites in their methods of fighting social welfare benefits was revealed today by Harry Edenborough, manager of the Silverwood Dairies Ltd., in Elmira, Mr. Edenborough said there are approximately 200 Old Order shipping to the plant. At least 10 percent of them consistently refuse to accept the government subsidy for milk...At this time of the year, a subsidy payment is more than $120 a month. This means he is refusing up to $1,200 a year. He felt it was a handout from the government which he had not earned. We have 20 to 25 of these people who refuse payments
