    WHITE, Harold - Passed away, peacefully, on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener, in his 88th year.

    Dear father of Bernard (Margaret) of Kitchener, Donna (Don) MacArthur of Stratford, Jan (Bob) Briden of Guelph, Nancy (Gary) Harvey of Oshawa and Craig (Kerry) of Waterloo. Cherished grandfather of Marty, Paula, Catherine, Heather, James, Janet, Robb, Matt, Laura-Beth, Lisa, Richard, Michelle, Erin, Kevin and Austin. Proud great-grandfather of Lauren, Chance, and Lachlan. Harold is survived by his daughter-in-law, Marjorie Stix.

    Predeceased by his wives, Eileen (nee Uhrig, 1977) and Iris (nee Burnside, 1998); his brother, John and his son, Dennis (1975).
    He was a longtime employee of 41 years for National Grocer in Kitchener, Stratford and Oshawa. A member of the Knights of Columbus and the Rotary Club.

    Friends may call Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W, Kitchener, today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 8:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated from Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes, St. W., Waterloo on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Private interment Memory Gardens, Breslau."

    Following a brief illness, Adam J. White, 66, 61 Strange St., died at his residence early today. As employee of the Prudential Life Insurance Company for 30 years, Mr. White retired five years ago. He was a member of St. John's RC Church, a member of the Holy Name Society and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White. His wife, the former Mary Sosmeski, whom he married 45 years ago in Guelph, survives. Also surviving are two sons, John and Harold, Kitchener; three brothers, Frank, Lee and William, all of Kitchener; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Rogowski, Waterloo, and Mrs. Charles (Anna) Kaplan, Kitchener. Surviving are six grandchildren. One brother and three sisters predeceased him. The boy is resting at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. Requiem high mass will be offered at St. John's RC Church Thursday at 9 a.m. Interment will be made in Mount Hope RC Cemetery

    Mrs. Adam J. White

    Mrs. Adam J. White of 61 Strange St., died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. She was 83.

    Born in Guelph, she was the former Mary Ann Sosnoski, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Sosnoski. She lived in Kitchener 64 years and was a member of St. John's RC Church and the Catholic Women's League of the church. She was predeceased by her husband in 1953; a son, John, and five brothers.

    Surviving are a son, Harold of Stratford; a brother, Martin of California; a sister, Mrs. Leo (Helen) Schekene of St. Catharines; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the parish rosary will be recited Thursday at 8: 30 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Friday at 9: 30 a.m. followed by removal to the church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. with Rev. John Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.

    Celebrated 50th Anniversasy of Marriage

    Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White of this city celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding on February 7. The occasion was obverved in the Sacred Heart Church by the singing of a solemn high mass the renewal of their marriage vows of half a century ago. The service was conducted by the Rev. Father Rogulski. Immediately following the mass, while they were kneeling at the alter they were presented with a gold-headed cane representing the staff of Aaron, and were given a bouquet of roses and a symbolic cross. After the service a reception was held at the Strange street home, and was attended by their many relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. White have 9 children, 30 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. White is 70 years of age, while his wife is aged 68 years. They cam to this city from Poland in 1880.

    Joseph White - There passed away this morning in his 75th year Joseph White, 98 Strange Street. The late Mr. White had been in his usual good health until about six o'clock this morning when he was taken suddenly ill and he passed away by nine o'clock. He was an employee of the Rumpel Felt Company. Mr. White was a resident of this city for the past 45 years during which time he made many acquaintances. His death will be a giant shock to all who knew him. Surviving are his sorrowing wife, five sons and three daughters. They are: John, Frank, Leo, Adam and William all of this city, Mrs. Walter Rogowski, Mrs. John Rogowski, and Mrs. Charles Kaplin, all of this city. Two brothers, Frank and Michael of Kitchener and two sisters, Mrs. F. Lemanski, and Mrs. E. Lemanski of this city, also survive. The funeral will be held at the Sacred Heart Church on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock. Burial in the RC Cemetery.
