    Obituary of Audrey Dettmer

    Peacefully at Columbia Forest Long Term Care, Waterloo on December 4, 2015. Audrey has now been reunited with the love of her life Wilf (Dett) (1996).

    Survived by her beloved daughters Wendi and John Schwindt, Sue and Dan Gremm and Peggy Dettmer. Grandchildren David (Marcie), Michael (Gillian), Sara (Brent), Anna (Trevor), and Erin, along with her seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Bob Loebsack and wife Karen and special aunt to Christopher (Christine) and Jenny (Paul).

    Mom treasured the times spent with dad, travelling, skiing and spending time at the cottage with family and friends. She gave generously of her time to Maycourt and Out of the Cold.

    A private family memorial reception to celebrate Audrey's life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday.

    Mr. Loebsack was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo and had owned and operated Ervin Loebsack Construction in the Kitchener-Waterloo are for over 50 years.

    Beloved husband of the former Martha Vogt; dear father of Audrey and her husband Wilfred Dettmer of Waterloo and Robert and his wife Karen of Kitchener. He is also lovingly remembered by his five grandchildren, Wendy Schwindt, Susan Gremm, Peggy Herter, Christopher and Jennifer Loebsack; two great-grandsons, David and Michael and his three sisters, Mrs. Edith Hauck of Waterloo, Mrs. Helen Quehl and Mrs. Gladys Appel, both of Kitchener.

    He was predeceased by his parents, Louise and William Loebsack; one brother, Edward and one sister, Emma Meisner.

    Mr. Loebsacks' family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171Kng St. S., Waterloo, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Saturday and Sunday. At noon on Monday, transfer will be made to St. John's Lutheran Church for the funeral service at 2 pm (Monday), with Rev. Eric Weber officiating. Interment to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener.

    Dear mother of Audrey Dettmer of Gravenhurst and Robert and his wife Karen of Kitchener. She is also lovingly remembered by five grand- children, Wendi and her husband John Schwindt, Sue and her husband Dan Gremm, Peggy and her husband Brian Somerville, Christopher and Jennifer Loebsack and five great- grandchildren, David and Michael Schwindt, Sara and Anna Gremm and Erin Somerville.

    Martha was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo where she played the organ and sang in the choir. For twenty years she was the organist at the Edward Good Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Loebsack's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. The funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Douglas Kranz officiating. Interment to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener.

    William Loebsack - The death of William Loebsack, 38, took place at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Otto Hauck, 58 Queen St. N., Waterloo, Saturday. He had been ill for three months. The son of late Henry Loebsack and Elizabeth Loebsack he was born in Germany March 7, 1858, and came to Canada at the age of nine years. Well known as a mason-contractor in this district, he owned and operated a brick and tile yard in Conestogo from 1902 to 1906. In 1906 he moved to Tavistock and operated a hotel at Sebastopal for 16 years. He retired and moved to Waterloo in 1922. Since the death of his wife, the former, Louisa Dobberthein, in 1929, he had resided with his (daughter, Mrs. Frederick Quehl, 72 Allen St. Waterloo. He was a member of St John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John (Emma) Meisner, Sunnyside; Mrs. Otto (Edith) Hauck, Mrs. Frederick (Helen) Quehl, Waterloo, and Mrs. Herbert (Gladys) Appel, Kitchener. Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. The remains are resting at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, where a public service will be held at 2: 30 p.m. Temporary entombment will be made in the Woodland Mausoleum. Rev. C. S. Roberts will officiate.
