    Smith, Ewart Wesley - Peacefully, at Hanover Hospital, on Thursday, March 17, 1988, Ewart Smith, formerly of Lancaster Street and Bridge Street East, age 69 years. Mr. Smith formerly owned and operated both the Bridgeport Casino and Merion Sod Supply for many years before retirement. Beloved husband of Helen (White), loving father of Sally (Mrs. Robert Robson) of Cargill; dear brother of Florence (Mrs. Gordon Good) of Waterloo and Jean Lobsinger of Kitchener. Also sadly missed by his grandchildren, Stacey McCuaig, Robert Wesley, Christopher and Pamela Robson. Predeceased by his parents, Gilbert Smith and the former Luella Hallman and his brother, Bradford Russell Smith. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, Friday (today) from 7-9 pm and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral and committal services will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, on Sunday at 2 pm. Cremation. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

    MICHAEL WHITE - Mortal remains of Michael White, 27 Henry street, city, who passed away at his home Monday, were interred in Mount Hope Cemetery this morning following services at the Sacred Heart Church at 9 o'clock. Deceased had been ailing for some time. He was in his 63rd year and had resided in this city for 40 years. He had been employed by the Kitchener Button Co. Besides his wife, one son, George and seven daughters, Mrs. M. Tokarcyzk, city, Francis, Galt, Madeline, Helen, Nellie, Mary and Cecelia, all at home, survive. One brother, Frank, city, and two sisters, Mrs. F. Lemanski and Mrs. S. Lemanski, both of Kitchener, also survive with three grandchildren.
