ROCH VALERIOTE OBITUARY

VALERIOTE, Roch Anthony (Rocco)

Died peacefully, at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on Tuesday, October 6th, 1998. Roch Valeriote, in his 73rd year, was the beloved husband of Jeannette Jarosz. Predeceased by his first wife Audrey Charlton. Loving father of Jane and her husband Dave Mutrie of Thunder Bay, Anne and her husband Ian Beales of Oakville, Mark of Edmonton, Roch and his wife Pam, Sara and her husband Ross Detweiler, and Jill, all of Guelph. Dear "Papa" of Julia, Eric, Matthew, Benjamin, Emma, Joanna and Craig. Roch is survived by his four sisters Carmel McGarr and Susie Valeriote, both of Guelph, Genevieve Wright of Bolton, and Josephine Czukerda of Welland. Predeceased by six brothers Domonic, Ralph (Freddy), George, Tony, and infant brothers Michael and Angelo, and four sisters Victoria Longo, Margaret Onoszko, Connie Albanese and Violet Mino. Fondly remembered by Josephine, Stella, Ksavera (Sam) and Alfreda, and all who knew him. Roch was a former employee of ABB, Guelph and an active member of both the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the John Howard Society. Family and friends may call at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, for visitation on Thursday, October 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Roch will be held Thursday at 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church (at the corner of Guelph Street and Paisley Road), Guelph, on Friday, October 9th, 1998 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the charity/institution of one's choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
