    JOHNSON, Anne

Passed away, on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 88th year. Anne was the beloved wife of the late, John Johnson (1998) and dear mother of the late, Ralph John Johnson (1963). Anne is survived by her brother, Edward Ast and his wife Mabel, as well as a niece and nephews in Saskatchewan. Anne was born and raised in Fort Qu'Appelle District of Saskatchewan. Her parents were Frank and Mary Ast. It was in Saskatchewan, where Anne met her husband John, who came to work on their farm. They moved to Preston in the early 1940's. For many years they lived on Moore, S., then Peter's Place, then finally Golden Years Retirement Lodge. Anne loved life. She enjoyed going for walks, her church and playing cards. She was a very close friend of the Pisarchuk family. She will be dearly missed by Katie Pisarchuk, who considered Anne to be like a sister to her. Cremation has taken place.
