    SHANTZ, Russell S.

    Peacefully, at Nithview Home, New Hamburg, on Wednesday, May 22, 1991, Russell Shantz, formerly of Hallman Road, Waterloo, age 93 years. Mr. Shantz farmed in Wilmot township and on Hallman Road in Waterloo for many years before retirement. He was a member of Lincoln Heights Missionary Church. Beloved husband of Edna (Schneider); loving father of Don and his wife Emma of Waterloo, Stewart and his wife Glenna of New Dundee, Grace and her husband Ken Rouse of Waterloo. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Cindy Graham, Karen Pike, Heather Cober, Kevin and Mark Shantz, Rebecca and Jonathon Rouse and four great-grandchildren. One sister, Violet (Mrs. Noah Herner) of Waterloo also survives. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Lincoln and Lloyd; five sisters, Salena, Alfreta, Olive, Edna and Lyla. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 821 King St. W., Kitchener, this evening (Thursday), 7-9 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Alan Shantz officiating. Interment Erb Street Mennonite cemetery.

Edna was born 10 Apr 1896, East Zorra Twp., Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada; died 31 Aug 1992, New Hamburg, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried 3 Sep 1992, Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery, Waterloo City, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.
