Joseph Lacroix

PRESTON, Joseph Lacroix, 515 South St., died Thursday at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 70. Mr. Lacroix was born in Boston and had resided in Preston, for 45 years. He was employed for many years at the James Gilles and Son plant, from where he retired in 1967. He had served with the army in the Second World War and was a member of the Preston branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Holroyd; three sons, Allan and Arthur both of Preston and Jack of Stratford; three daughters, Mrs. William (Rose) Curragh, Mrs. Fred (Elaine) MacNeil and Mrs. Ruth Stockall all of Preston and 13 grandchildren. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Sunday, at 2: 30 p.m. Interment will be in Preston Park Lawn cemetery.
