Surrounded by family, on February 26, 2014, at the age of 90. Beloved mother of Andrew Schlesak (Marjorie) and Joe Schlesak (Debbie). Cherished Oma to Andrew Schlesak (Evelyn), David Fabian (Michelle) and Thomas Schlesak (Tina). Proud Great-Oma of five. She will also be missed by her son-in-law, John Fabian (Brenda), nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. She now joins her husband, Andrew Schlesak (1987), her daughter, Magdalene Fabian (2006) and her brother, Josef Steiner (1980). Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, (519) 653-3251 on Saturday, March 1st at 2: 00 p.m. Burial at Parklawn Cemetery.

Of the Golden Years Nursing Home, Cambridge (P), at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Saturday, July 8, 1978, Joseph Steiner, beloved husband of the late Magdalena Ditjo; dear father of Joseph and Magdalena (Mrs. Andrew Schlesak) of Cambridge, in his 82nd year. Mr. Steiner was born in Austria-Hungary and had resided in Cambridge (P), since 1952. A member of St. Clement's RC Church. Survived by one sister in Germany; also four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, until Monday morning; then to St. Clement's Church, for funeral mass, at 10 a.m. interment in Park Lawn cemetery.

Beloved wife of Joseph Steiner; dear mother of Joseph and Magdalena (Mrs. Andrew Schlesak) of Cambridge; loving sister of John Ditjo of Germany; also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, corner Queenston Road at Argyle Street, Cambridge, until Thursday morning; then to St. Clements RC Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn cemetery. Rosary will be recited at the funeral home tonight at 7: 30 p.m.
