    Mrs. L. Ramsay Died Sunday

    Preston citizens will learn with regret of the passing of Jessie Manson Davidson, beloved wife of Lawrence Ramsay, in the Kitchener-Waterloo hospital, Sunday, July 7. In her 75th year, the late Mrs. Ramsay was taken seriously ill on Friday and died shortly after she was received into the hospital last evening. The deceased was born in Leith, Scotland and resided at her parent's home there, until her marriage on June 4, 1894 and after her marriage she and Mr. Ramsay came to Canada and 943 Moore street, Preston, 32 years ago. A staunch member of the local Baptist church, the late Mrs. Ramsay was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and a life member of the Missionary Circle. Left to mourn her loss are her husband, two sons, Basil of Preston and Jack of Ayr; five daughters, Mrs. Gladstone Zimmerman (Nellie), Mrs. R. Gatehouse (May), Mrs. J. McKee (Mary), Mrs. E. Pelz (Essie) and Mrs. J. Godwin (Betty), all of Preston; twenty grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The late Mrs. Ramsay is resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd. funeral home, from where the funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon, at 2.30 p.m. Interment in the Preston cemetery.
