    FABIAN, Magdalene

    Passed away at Lisaard House, Cambridge on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer, in her 64th year. Loving wife of John; mother of David and mother-in-law of Michele; daughter of Magdalena Schlesak and the late Andrew Schlesak; grandmother to Tyler, Shaina; sister to Joseph (Debbie) and Andrew (Marjorie), aunt to Andrew and Tom Schlesak, great-aunt to Michael and Kaitlyn. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Parklawn Cemetery Chapel, 750 Fountain Street North, Cambridge on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dale Finch officiating. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery.

    0f 1378 Concession Rd., Cambridge, on Monday, Jan. 5, 1987, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Magdalena Steiner; dear father of Andrew, Joseph and Magdalene (Mrs. John Fabian), all of Cambridge. Also survived by three grandchildren; one sister, Clara (Mrs. John Weingartner) of Windsor. Mr. Schlesak was born in Yugoslavia and came to Cambridge in 1949. He was employed by Appleton Electric. Friends will be received at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Tuesday evening, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's Church, Wednesday, at 10 a.m., interment in Parklawn cometery.

    Surrounded by family, on February 26, 2014, at the age of 90. Beloved mother of Andrew Schlesak (Marjorie) and Joe Schlesak (Debbie). Cherished Oma to Andrew Schlesak (Evelyn), David Fabian (Michelle) and Thomas Schlesak (Tina). Proud Great-Oma of five. She will also be missed by her son-in-law, John Fabian (Brenda), nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. She now joins her husband, Andrew Schlesak (1987), her daughter, Magdalene Fabian (2006) and her brother, Josef Steiner (1980). Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, (519) 653-3251 on Saturday, March 1st at 2: 00 p.m. Burial at Parklawn Cemetery.

    PRESTON, Andrew Schlesak, formerly of 1378 Concession Road, Preston, died Sunday, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 78. Mr. Schlesak was born in Hungary. He came to Preston in 1933. He was employed by Werlich Industries from where he retired three years ago. He was affiliated with St. Clement's RC Church. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Katherine Stilling, in 1948. Surviving are one son, Andrew of Preston; one daughter, Mrs. John (Clara) Weingardner of Windsor; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, after 7 p.m. today. Requiem mass will be solemnized at St. Clement's RC Church, Tuesday, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Preston Park Lawn cemetery.
