    STRITYCHUK, Stephen Stanley

    1923-2010. Passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010, at Fairview Mennonite Home (Blair Wing), age 86 years. Mr. Stritychuk was a long time employee of Joy Manufacturing and a Veteran of the Canadian Navy, during the Second World War. Loving husband of Margaret (Hartleib) of Cambridge. Dear father of Janet Stritychuk (Marc Ashbrook) and James Stritychuk (Nancy) all of British Columbia. Brother-in-law of Catherine Strite of Guelph, Doris Martin of St. Marys, Louise Pickering of Brantford, Bernice Dautner of Kitchener and Dennis Hartleib of Goderich. Predeceased by a brother, Joseph Strite and a sister Kay Fox and her husband Ron. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date.

    Peter Stritychuk

    PRESTON. Dec. 17--Suffering a stroke Saturday night, Peter Paul Stritychuk, a well known Preston resident for the past 36 years, died in Galt Hospital, yesterday at the age of 54 years. Born in Galicia, Mr. Stritychuk came to Canada, directly to Preston, 36 years ago. A stationary engineer by trade, he was engaged at Canadian Buffalo Sled for 10 Years until 1930, but due to a handicap had not worked since that time. Previously he had been engaged in other industrial plants in Preston and district. He was a member of St. Clement's R.C. Church. Surviving are his widow, Mary Czuczyk: a daughter, Mrs. Ronald Fox of Galt: two sons, Joseph of Galt and Stephen at home: two granddaughters and two grandsons. The body is resting at the residence, 248 Moore St.. Preston, where the funeral will be held Friday with requiem high mass at St. Clement's R. C. Church at 9 a m. Interment will be in the R. C. Cemetery.

    Mrs. Nicholas Sawchuk

    PRESTON, Funeral service was held here today, for Mrs. Nicholas Sawchuk, 75, of 245 Hedley St., who died Saturday at Freeport Hospital. Service was held at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Burial was in Preston Park Lawn cemetery. Born in the Ukraine, Mrs. Sawchuk was the former Mary Czuczuk. She had lived in Preston, for the past 60 years. Her first husband, Peter Stritychuk, died in 1947. Nicholas Sawchuk, her second husband, died in 1966. Surviving are two sons, Stephen Stritychuk of Preston and Joseph Strite of Guelph; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Katherine) Fox of RR 3, Galt; 11 grandchildren and three, great-grandchildren.
