It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dan on Thursday, July 31, 2008, in his 66th year, at his home in Preston, Cambridge. Beloved husband and best friend of his wife, Chris McMurtrie, of 42 years. Predeceased by his parents, Ethel and John "Mike". His children and grandchildren will dearly miss him: Warrant Officer Dan Haverson and wife Annette (Dylan and Taylor) of Brighton, Ont., Debbie Robinson and husband Larry (Heather, Jeff and Amy) of Preston, Ont. and Michael McMurtrie and wife Marie (Brandon, Meredith, Jaime and Dain) of Elmira, Ont. Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Jean Villeneuve; brother, Edward Villeneuve; sister, Florence Burke; niece, Jennifer Villeneuve; in-laws, John and Ethel McMurtrie, George Lyons and nephews, Gregory and Christopher Abbott.
