    Notes:

    Kniess, Theresa

Mama Theresa passed away peacefully on the sunny morning of Sunday, November 20, 2022 shortly after celebrating her 95th birthday on November 8, 2022.

Beloved wife of the late George Kniess, mother to Robert (Maxine), sister to her most cherished confidant Helen and her late husband John Putschli, first daughter of the late Christian and Magdalena Rederer.
Aunt to her favourites, George (Lauren), John (Georgia) and Rosemary (Mike) as well as their respective children and spouses.

Theresa worked tirelessly throughout her life, suffered immensely through World War 2, and other challenges of immigrating to Canada in early 1950.

Her hobbies included gardening, quilting and needle point; she was an amazing cook and baker of German treats. Theresa was a longstanding member of the Schwaben club where they celebrated their life in Canada and was a lifelong worshipper at St Francis Roman Catholic Church.

The family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the people who cared for Theresa during her journey home to God. This includes all the staff at Winston Park where she spent 7 years and at Sunnyside LTC more recently.

A private family funeral will take place on Friday November 25, 2022 at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations to the St Mary's Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated to celebrate her life of service to all.

The world lost a truly special person, with the kindest heart and soul. May she rest in peace.
