W. A. Manning - Following a lengthy illness, William A. Manning, 69, of 41 Guelph St., Bridgeport, died today at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Simcoe County, May 13, 1883, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Manning. His marriage to Marie Weidenhammer, who survives, took place in Elmira, June 10, 1918. Surviving are two sons, Donald and Harry of Bridgeport; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Kay) Detweller of Elmira, Mrs. Joseph (Audrey) Loesch of Toronto and Mrs. Douglas (Eileen) Malott, of French River, Ont.; one sister, Mrs. Robert Ritchie, Elmvalle, and seven grandchildren. Public funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bridgeport Memorial Cemetery with Rev. R.S. Lederman, pastor of the Emmanuel Evangelical UB Church of Bridgeport, officiating. The body is at the funeral home.
