    Beloved husband of Joyce. Loving father of Colleen Cox (Jamie) and step-father of Cheryl Siegner and Todd Siegner (Anne).
    Cherished Papa of Samantha Zach (Spencer), Patrick and Brooklyn Siegner.

    Dear son of Viola MacKenzie and Brother to Nancy Hallman (Barry), Doug MacKenzie and Scott MacKenzie (Marg).
    Predeceased by his father Donald William MacKenzie Sr.

    He will be dearly missed by his many friends, colleagues, nieces and nephews.

    Don's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30 p.m.- 4:15 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, immediately following the visitation, at 4:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

    With her family by her side, we sadly announce the passing of Viola Gladys MacKenzie, on November 7, 2021, at the age of 98 at the Hospice of Waterloo. She was born June 17, 1923, in Clifford. Predeceased by her loving husband Donald senior (2001) her son Donald Junior (2016) and her parents Bill and Marion Schaefer. Loving mother to Nancy Hallman (Barry), Douglas, Scott (Margaret), and daughter-in-law Joyce. Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and aunt to many nieces and nephews. A special friend to Dorothy Bradley and Marleen Wiffen. Viola was a member of Olivet United Church where she volunteered for every church function. She was an avid reader and knitter. Together with Dorothy and other volunteers, they knitted over 1000 squares annually for blankets, which were distributed to cancer patients and to the children's hospital. Viola was such a sports fan! Her favorites baseball, curling, bowling and playing cards. Viola could give you a run for your money in horseshoes! She was previously employed at John Forsyth Shirts, where she met Donald. With her mother, Marion, she started her own bakery business which she ran until she retired. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Hospice Waterloo for their exceptional care given to mom in her last few weeks. Viola's family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Saturday November 13, 2021 from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. If desired, donations would be appreciate to Hospice Waterloo.

    MACKENZIE, Mrs. William (Elizabeth) -- At the K-W Hospital, on Saturday, August 11, 1973, after a brief illness, Elizabeth Prange of 247 Franklin St. North, age 83 years, born in Breslau, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Prange, a Twin City area resident all her life and a member of Trinity United Church, Trinity Bible class and the United Church Women; wife of the late William MacKenzie who predeceased her in November, 1958; mother of Beatrice (Mrs. Alvin Leslie), St. Catharines; Ruth (Mrs. Edward Kramp), Shantz Station; June (Mrs. Charles Hawkins), Harold and Donald MacKenzie of Kitchener and Jean (Mrs. Fred Knowles) of London; sister of Harry Prange of Cambridge (Preston); 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. MacKenzie was predeceased by a daughter in infancy and by five brothers and seven sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener. Funeral service in the chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Watson officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery. Donations to the canadian Arthritis and Rheumatism Society may be made as expressions of sympathy.

    Henry Prange, 74, of Breslau, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Wednesday, May 17th after a week's illness. Deceased was horn at Kossuth on Dec. 17, 1864 and farmed near Breslau all his life. He was a member of the Shantz Station Lutheran church. Surviving are his widow, nee Leah Kramp, six sons, Sylvester and Harry of Breslau, Norman of Glen Morris, Arthur of Kitchener, Elmer of Mosborough and William of Preston, two daughters, Mrs. William McKenzie of Kitchener, Mrs. Charles Wagner of Breslau, one brother, John of Buffalo, N.Y., and 35 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held private on Saturday to the Cressman Mennonite church, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
