Predeceased by his parents Walter and Sylvia Lorch. Wilfred was a long time employee Of Uniroyal Chemicals, retiring in 1987. Then employed by Canada Post delivering rural mail until he retired in 1994. He was an active member of the Lions Club of Elmira and former past president and was named Lion of the Year in 1989. He was a former member of the Elmira Town Council. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira for funeral service at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery.

    Walter Lorch - By Record Correspondent - ELMIRA, March 28 -

    Walter Lorch, 51, of 52 Centre St., Elmira, died today at the K-W Hospital following a short illness. Born in Woolwich Township, Feb. 20, 1900, he was the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lorch. He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira, and a member of the church council. Surviving, besides his wife the former Sylvia Snyder, are three sons, Albert, Wilfred and Ronald, all of Elmira; two daughters, Mrs. H. S. (Kathleen) Allen. Hanover, and Miss Shirley, Elmira; two brothers, Henry and Charles and three sisters Mrs. Carrie Hett; Mrs. Mary Dreisinger and Mrs. Emma Adamson. One grandchild also survives. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. James Lutheran Church in Elmira with Dr. H. T. Lehmann, president of Waterloo College and Seminary, officiating. Interment will be made at the Elmira Lutheran Cemetery. The body will rest at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until 1 pm Saturday at which time removal will be made to the church. Friends are requested to pay respects prior to the service.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Rose and one son Francis; one brother and one sister. Sister of Colette Cassel, Leona Logel, Luella Craemer. Louise Craemer and Rita Craemer, Albert and Steve; 34 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.

    Elmira, Nov. 22 - The death occurred yesterday of Albert W. Lorch, 79, at his home, 32 Centre Street. The deceased had been in poor health for the past two months. He was born Feb. 14, 1861, on a farm in Woolwich Township, one mile northwest of Elmira, where he resided until October, 1927, when he moved to his present home. A public -spirited citizen, Mr. Lorch served two years on the Woolwich Township Council and for many years held the post of township road superintendent. He was a member of St. James Lutheran church and had been for many years a member of the church board.

    His wife, one daughter, the late Mrs. John Westfall, and a son, who died in infancy, also predeceased him. surviving are three sons, Henry of Gowanstown, and Charles and Walter of Elmira, four daughters, (Mary) Mrs. Alvin Dreisinger, Elmira, (Carrie) Ms. Albert N. Hett and (Edith) Mrs. Sylvester Israel, both of Kitchener, and (Emma) Mrs. W. Adamson of Ayton, two brothers, Rudolph, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Edward, New Carlisle, Ind., 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon with a private service at the home at 2 o'clock, with public service at St. James' Lutheran Church at 2: 30. Burial will be in St. James' Cemetery, Elmira, Rev. L. H. Kalbfleisch will officiate at these services. The body will be at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel until Saturday afternoon.

    MRS. ALBERT LORCH

    ELMIRA, Sept. 2 - After an illness of about six months, the death occurred on Monday of Mrs. Albert Lorch at her home here. She was born in Woolwich Township 75 years ago and has resided in this district her entire life. Four years ago Mr. and Mrs. Lorch celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. The deceased was a member of St. James' Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.

    Surviving are her husband, three sons, Henry of Gowanstown, Charles and Walter of Elmira, four daughters, Mrs. Alvin Dreisinger, Elmira, Mrs. (Dr.) A. N. Hett, Kitchener, Mrs. S. Israel, Kitchener, and Mrs. W. Adamson of Ayrton. One daughter, Mrs. J. Westfall, and an infant son predeceased her. Mrs. H. Beckner of Elmira, Mrs. H. Ott of Listowel, sisters, and Jacob Oswald, a brother, also survive. There are fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

    The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence to St. James' Lutheran Church for services and thence to the Elmira Cemetery for interment.

    Levi Snyder - by Record Correspondent - ELMIRA, Jan 7. - The death occurred at his home near Elmira on Saturday evening last of Levi Snyder, after a short illness. Mr. Snyder, who was a native of Woolwich Township, was born 78 years ago. He was married to his wife, Lydia Fries, who survives him in 1900. Four sons, Arthur, Irvin, and Wesley of this district, and Daniel of Kitchener; and six daughters, Mrs. Walter Lorch and Mrs. Herbert Cress of Elmira, Mrs. Wilbert Be??el of this district, and Mrs. Elmer Kutt. Mrs. Floyd Bristow and Mrs. Arthur Martin, all of Kitchener, are surviving children. One daughter died in 1939. In addition two brothers, Edward of Elmira, and Oscar of Kitchener, and 16 grandchildren, also survive. The funeral will be held from the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel to St. James' Lutheran Cemetery, on Tuesday afternoon at 3: 30 o'clock. Rev. L. H. Kalbfleisch will officiate. The body is resting at the chapel.

    ELMIRA - Mrs. Mary Forerster 78. died Wednesday at Elmira Private Hospital after a short Illness She lived In Hesson until seven years ago.

    Born in Chepstow. Sept. I, 1876, she was the eldest daughter of the late Romanus Gras and former Josephine Stemmler. In 1895 she married Anthony Foerster of Hesson, who predeceased her In 1948.

    Surviving are three sons, Albert of Elmira, Stephen of London, Ont., and Clarence of Glen Allan, seven daughters, Mrs. Sylvester (Prescilla) Schill and Mrs. Herb (Coletta) Cassel of Glen Allan, Mrs. Alfred (Rim) Logel of Waterloo, Mrs. Charles (Luella) Kraemer of Elmira. Mrs. Chalres (Leona) Logel of Peel township, Mrs. Jerome (Louise) Kraemer of Macton and Mrs. Thomas (Rita) Kraemer of Dorking.

    Also surviving are a brother, Joseph Graf of Elmira, two sisters. Mrs. John Lineman of Hesson and Mrs. Walter Gohl of Florida, 69 grandchildren and 31 great grand children.

    The body is at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where prayers will be said Saturday at 8:45 sin. Requiem high mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's RC Church, Hesson. Officiating will be Rev. Hugh Fleming. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
