    Notes:

BOGDON, Joseph Frank - Our Dad, Joseph Frank Bogdon (1928-2009), left this world on Saturday, May 30, 2009, to continue his journey and meet up with family and friends that have gone before him. We believe that they gathered to greet him as he arrived. Joe leaves behind his "all girl choir" daughters, Jolene Ellis, Bonnie Bogdon-Browne (Tony), Pamela Bogdon-Murphy (Anthony), Colleen Foley (Lynn), Lori Bogdon (Dennis), Judy Lacelle (Kevin), Angela Bogdon and his "male soloist", his son, Mark Bogdon. Also here to mourn is his partner and loving friend, Liz Booth; his grandchildren, Ford, Natasha, Vanessa, Stephanie, Dawson and Tyler. Also remembering Dad is Shireen Bogdon, mother of his eight children. Per our father's wish, he has been cremated and no funeral service will take place. There will be a "Celebration of His Life" for family and friends on Saturday, June 6, 2009 beginning at 1 p.m. at his home, Titania Park Tree Farm, RR 5, Cambridge, Ont. (Hwy. 24 South). Dad has worked on the land all of his life. In 1952, he purchased 70 acres from his maternal grandfather to start his own farm. Dad spent the past 57 years working his land. From a farm, he transformed it into a small park and then into a tree farm. Dad called it his 'Shangri La' and we think that there would be no better place to hold his memorial. We gratefully thank his long time friend and specialist, Dr. James Gowing, Dr. Louise Sims, Carol, Christi, Lauren and all the nurses and staff of the fifth floor and the Oncology department of Cambridge Memorial Hospital for taking good care of our father. Donations can be made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation (Oncology department) 519-740-4966 / www.cmhfoundation.ca or to the Grand River Conservation Foundation to have a tree planted in his memory 1-877-29-GRAND / 519-621-2763, ext.2272. Arrangements entrusted to Barthel Funeral Home (519-653-3251). Tributes may be made online at www.mem.com
