    BASSETT, Anne

    At the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, February 18, 1996, in her 85th year. Anne Bassett lovingly remembered by her children, Shirley Hadfield and her husband Robert, Beverley Williamson and her husband Grant, Steven Arthur Bassett, all of Cambridge, George Bassett and his wife Norma of Etobicoke, her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of James Clayton of Toronto, Mary Groome of Florida and Nora Christie of Chatham. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Cecil Cumming, her 2nd husband Eldon Bassett and 1 son John Bassett. Mrs. Bassett was an active member of St. John's-On-The-Hill United Church. Friends will be received at COUTTS & SON FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Andrew St., Cambridge, on Monday (today), from 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral and Committal Services will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 20, 1996, at 1: 30 p.m., Rev. William Gallagher officiating. A reception will follow in Courts Family Reception Centre. Interment, Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.

    BASHER, William - Of Cambridge, passed away, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Fay (nee Chesney) and loving father of Ross Campbell and his wife Jean, Wayne Campbell and his wife Gail, Larry Campbell and his wife Margaret, Henry Campbell and his wife Gloria, all of Cambridge, Willy Basher of Cold Lake, Alta., and Robin Astley of Cambridge. Dear grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 22. Dear brother of Albert and his wife Doreen of Cambridge. Mr. Basher was predeceased by is first wife, Shirley. William was a veteran of the Second World War during which he severed with the Royal Canadian Navy and was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Galt Branch No. 121, where he and his "Tuesday afternoon buddies" would visit. He was employed for more than 20 years with Strite Industry and was a member of the Cambridge Organ Society, Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends this evening (Friday) from 7-9 pm. A Royal Canadian Legion Galt Branch No. 121 service will be held at the funeral home this evening (Friday) at 7 pm. Funeral service to be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at 1 pm, Rev. Paul Millward officiating. Interment Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Oncology Unit or to Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family.
