    PUMFREY, William James

    Born in Thamesville, Ontario, on June 2, 1928, passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on July 2, 2008. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Olive (Lindsay) and their three daughters, Susan Cottrell, Janice (Jim) Wilson and Diane (Gary) Arnburg. Beloved grandfather to Shannon Cottrell, Micol (Jessica) Cottrell, Nicholas Arnburg and Rebecca Arnburg. Loving brother to Elizabeth Carson and brother-in-law to Alice Pumfrey, Mary Pumfrey and Laurene Lindsay. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Amelia; his brothers, Charles, Robert, Frank and Edward; his sisters, Marie and June; his brothers-in-law, Clarence Lindsay, David Carson and Jack Pumfrey and his sister-in-law, Helen Pumfrey. Bill worked at various jobs including Mamie's Bread, Barlow Cartage and retired from Franklin (WCI) Mfg. Bill and Olive also owned the North End Confectionary on Norfolk Avenue from 1965-1975. Bill was active in the Moose Lodge of Galt and an avid bowler at Water St, Bowl. Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, today (Friday), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Coutts Funeral Home chapel, on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at 11 a.m. Interment Mount View Cemetery.

    William married Olive May Lindsay 1950. Olive (daughter of John James "Jack" Lindsay and Ethelmae Carr) was born 7 Nov 1928, Dauphin, Manitoba; died 7 Dec 2015, , Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried 8 Dec 2015, Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.
