    KITCHEN, Robert "Max"

    At the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, November 27, 1994, in his 79th year. Max served in the Royal Navy from 1939 to 1943, a retired employee of Galt Malleable, was a school crossing guard with the City of Cambridge, for the last 19 years, which he truly loved. An Honorary member of the Cambridge Newfoundland Club and a 50 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #126 and the David Durwood Centre. Beloved husband of the late Vera (1957). Dear father of Maxine and her husband Jim McKee of Ohio, Helen and her husband Bart Ford of Cambridge, Donna and her husband Murray Bennett of Cambridge, Dorothy and her husband John King of Nfld., Reid and his wife Wendy of Cambridge, Peta and her husband Joe Delorenzis of Cambridge and Cheryl and her husband Dennis Byrne of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren. Brother of Violet (Bid) Bozec of Cambridge and Marion Maher of Fergus and Charles Kitchen of Cambridge. Predeceased by 2 brothers; Fred and Frank. Friends will be received at COUTTS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (today), from 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Rd., Cambridge, on Wednesday, November 30, 1994, at 1: 30 p.m., with Rev. Robert Grisdale officiating. Interment will follow in Mount View Cemetery.

    Suddenly, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, January 6th., 1987, in her 63rd year. Vera Kitchen, late of 478 Grand Valley Drive. Beloved wife of Robert (Max) Kitchen, loving mother of William Reid and his wife Wendy of Cambridge, Maxine (Mrs. James McKee) of Ohio and Helen (Mrs. Bart Ford) and Donna (Mrs. Murray Bennett) both of Cambridge. Dorothy (Mrs. John King) of St. John's Nfld. and Peta (Mrs. Joseph DeLorenzis) of Cambridge and Cheryl and Mrs. Dennis Byrne of Cambridge. Vera is survived by her brother, Malcolm Newhook of St. John's Nfld. and is predeceased by her brothers; Bart and Roy and her sister Helen. She will be sadly missed by her 14 grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the Courts and Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted from Trinity Anglican Church on Thursday, January 8th., 1987, at 11: 00 a.m., with Canon Bloch officiating. Interment will be at Mount View Cemetery.
