    HARRY D. HUSSON 1888-1970

    Married: Ruby I. Flowers. Harry Husson was born in Guelph on February 6,1888 and spent the last twenty nine years of his life in Galt. Mr. Husson was associated with the Bell Telephone Co., for forty years, from 1913 to 1953, the last ten years of which he was the manager in Galt. He served as a manager for Bell in Orillia, Lindsay, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and other locations. After leaving Bell Telephone in 1953 Mr. Husson became the manager of the Galt Housing Commission where he remained until his retirement on December 31, 1965. Mr. Husson was also a charter member and the second president of the Galt Lions Club, in 1938 -40. He died on May 29, 1970 and is buried in Mount View Cemetery

    Harry D. Husson

    GALT, Harry D. Husson died early today, at Marsdale Manor Nursing Home. He was 82. Mr. Husson was born in Guelph and had lived in Galt for 29 years. He was Bell Telephone Co. Manager for 42 years. He had also been manager in Orilla and Lindsay before coming to Galt. He was manager of the Galt Housing Authority for seven years before retiring. He was a member of First Unit.ed Church and was a member of the church board. He was a charter member of the Lions Club, a former Rotarian, member of the Galt Curling Club and was on the Tecumsah Council of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Surviving are his wife, the former Ruby I. Flowers; one son, William of Galt; two daughters, Mrs. M. A. (Muriel) Taggart of Woodstock and Bette Husson of Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Lauree Brandon of Guelph, Mrs. Ann Ritchie of St. Thomas and Mrs. James O'Brien in Texas and four grandchildren. The body will be at the Little's Funeral Home, from Saturday. Service will be conducted there Monday, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mountview cemetery, Galt.

    At the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, on Monday, March 14, 1977. the former Ruby Flowers of the Eventide Home, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Husson; dear mother of William Husson, Muriel (Mrs. Mel Taggart) and Betty, all of Cambridge; sister of Mrs. Muriel Orr, of London; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, also survive. Resting at Little's Funeral Home, 39 Grand Ave. N., Cambridge, Funeral and committal service at the funeral home, on Wednesday, March 16, at 4 p.m. Interment, Mount View cemetery.
