    Clarence Forler
    Brantford, Jan. 8 - Clarence Forler, who moved to this city seven years ago from Kitchener, the city of his birth, where he had been employed by the Canadian National Railway, freight department, passed away here at his home, 12 Grand street, early this morning. Mr. Forler was about 38 years of age. He had been ailing for the past year. Surviving are his wife, nee Pauline Kress, formerly of Waterloo, and five small children, the oldest being nine years. Two brothers, Emmanuel of Detroit, Gordon in New York, and one sister, Mrs. William Sixtus, Kitchener, also survive.

    Brantford, Jan. 8 - Clarence John Forler, native of Southampton, who spent his early life in Hanover and Kitchener, coming to Brantford nine years ago, died today at the Brant Sanitarium. He was a prominent member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. His widow and four daughters survive. He was born in 1898.

    Mrs. Pauline H. Forler
    Mrs. Pauline Henrietta Forler, 109 John St. E., Waterloo, died at St. Mary's Hospital last night following a lengthy illness. Deceased was born at St. Agatha, July 19, 1903, the daughter of Andrew Kress and the late Mrs. Kress. She was married to Clarence Forler who predeceased her in 1936. She is survived by her father; one son, John, at home, and four daughters, Pearl, Myrtle, Inez and Irene, all at home. Two brothers, Louis Kress, Westminster, B.C., and Clayton Kress, London, Ont., and four sisters, Mrs. A. McKersie, Mrs. Adolph Berlet, city, Mrs. Hattie Bonaney, St. Catherines, and Mrs. Harry Knack, Preston, also survive. The funeral will be held from St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, of which she was a member, at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. C. S. Roberts will conduct the services. The remains are resting at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home until Thursday morning when they will be removed from the residence. Interment will take place at Waterloo Mt. Hope Cemetery.

    Mrs. Andrew S. Kresz

    The death occurred yesterday afternoon in the K-W Hospital of Mrs. Andrew S. Kresz, formerly Mrs. John N. Forler, 109 East John Street, in her 62nd year, after a lingering illness. The late Mrs. Kresz, who was born in Blythe, moved later to Waterloo where she has resided for a number of years. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. William Sixtus of Kitchener and three sons Gordon Forler of New York, Clarence Forler of Brantford and Emmanuel Forler of Detroit. Seven stepchildren, Mrs. A. McKersie of Kitchener, Mrs. W. Bonaney of Grimsby, Mrs. A Berlet of Kitchener, Mrs. Clarence Forler of Brantford, Miss Emma Kresz of Kitchener, Lewis Kresz of Grimsby Beach and Clayton Kresz at home, also survive. Her former husband John Forler predeceased her 13 years ago. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon.

    Andrew Kress

    Andrew S. Kress, 89, of 182 Kent Ave., died early today of a heart condition. He had been ill for three weeks. Mr. Kress was born Feb. 19, 1862, in Wilmot Township, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Kress. He was a retired cooper having worked at Canada Barrels and Kegs, Ltd., Waterloo. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo. He moved to Waterloo in 1903 and four years ago made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Abram McKersie, Kent Ave. Surviving are two sons, Louis of South Burnaby, B.C. and Clayton of London, Ont.; three daughters, Mrs. McKersie, Mrs. William (Hattie) Bonaney of St. Catherines, and Mrs. Adolf Berlet of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. William (Sophia) Thomas of Kitchener. Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Five children predeceased him, three sons, George, Adam and John, and two daughters, Mrs. Harry Knack and Mrs. Clarence Forler. The body will be at the home of Mrs. Berlet, 212 Wellington St. North, from Wednesday. The funeral will be held there Friday at 2:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3 o'clock at St. John's Church. Rev. A. L. Conrad will officiate and interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

The deceased had been in poor health for several years. She is survived by her husband, two sons and five daughters, Louis and Clayton, Louise, Pauline and Emma at home, Hattie, Hamilton, and Anna McKersie, Kitchener, one brother, George C. Forler, Wilmot township, and sister, Margarita Pfanner, Kitchener. The funeral will take place on Saturday, June 16 that 1:30 o'clock from the residence John Street, to St. John's Lutheran Church, for service and from thence to Mount Hope Cemetery for interment.

    Death of Mr. Christian Forler

    The death occurred on Sunday last, May 29, 1921, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ottman in Hanover of Mr. Christian Forler, aged 83 years. Deceased was born in Waterloo County. He was twice married, his first wife being Miss Carolina Niergart, who died 33 years ago. This marriage was blessed with six children, three surviving, as follows: Mrs. Ottman of Hanover; Mrs. H. H. Johnston, of Wilcox, Sask., and Alvin of Moose Jaw, Sask. Three years after the death of his first wife, he married Miss Anna Seip, who survives him. They had no children. Deceased had resided with his granddaughter, Mrs. Norman Wunnenberg, for the past year and a half. He lived practically all his life in Elmwood. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon to the Hanover cemetery, Rev. H. Twietmeyer having charge of the services.

    Philipsburg News Item - It is this week our sad duty to chronicle the death of Mary Forler (nee Doerrbecker) she died on Thursday, Sept. 30th at 8 p.m. and reached the ripe age of 84 years, 2 months and 28 days. Deceased was born in Hesson, Germany, and came to Canada when a young girl of 14 years and has lived in Wilmot Township ever since with the exception of a few years when she lived in Wellesley. Deceased was well respected and beloved by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son and two daughters, also 22 grand-children and 15 great-grandchildren. The mourning son and two daughters are namely; George Forler of Wilmot, Mary (Mrs. Kress) of Waterloo and Mrs. Margaret Pfanner of this place with whom the deceased lived until her end. May she rest in peace.
