ROBB, Thomas Abner

At the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Monday, April 7, 1997, in his 77th year. Tom is the beloved husband of the late Patricia Robb (nee Whiting). Dear father of Sharon Louise McFarlane of Cambridge and Marie and Sandy Muir of Toronto. Loved grandfather of John Bolt of Cambridge and Alexander and Christine Muir of Toronto. Born in Galt, in 1921, he apprenticed under his father Alex, as a master carpenter, restoring many of the region's heritage homes and churches. During his lifetime he served overseas with the Royal Canadian Engineers, during WW2, was a member of the H.L.I., Royal Canadian Legion Galt Branch #121. He served in his retirement as a ship's carpenter for the Toronto Brigantine and as a volunteer for the Calgary Police, during the Olympics. He was a proud member of the Hole-in-one Club. A Memorial Service will be conducted in the Chapel of COUTTS & SON FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, on Thursday, April 10, 1997, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating. A reception will follow the service in Coutts Family Reception Cottage. Interment has taken place in Mount View Cemetery.
