    ELSBY, Winifred Gwendoline

    It is with great sadness that the family of Winifred Elsby (Nee Wooldridge) announces her sudden passing away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Monday, February 5, 1996, at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Elsby (1957) and dear mother of William Elsby and his wife Laura of Sault St. Marie, Dorothy Snook, Gwen and her husband George Hopper, Phoebe and her husband Morley Miller all of Cambridge, Grace Warren of St. Catharines. Lovingly devoted grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Hugh Wooldridge and his wife Marjorie. She is predeceased by 2 sons, Wilfred and Edward Elsby, two brothers, Claude and Vivien, two son-in-laws, Leonard Snook and Clarence Warren. Mrs. Elsby was a member of the Ivy Rebekah Lodge 26 and the First Galt Scout Mothers. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday (today), 7 - 9 p.m., and Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, February 8, 1996, at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
