    Notes:

    FALLEN ASLEEP

Miss Janet Ballingall, the eldest daughter of Mr. Robert Ballingall, departed this life Sabbath morning, August 25th and was laid away in her last resting place in our beautiful, Mount View cemetery, Tuesday, 27th inst. The deceased was born in Kettle, Fifeshire, Scotland and came to Galt, Nov., 1889, where she resided with her sisters, Margaret and Agnes, 58 Oak street, until the time of her death. She was satisfied with her new home, although so distant from the place of her nativity and the scenes of her youthful days. This was partly due to the fact that she possessed a contented mind and to no small degree because of the kind and loving ministries of her sisters, who sought to even anticipate every want. The departed connected herself with the church of Christ early in life and remained a conscientious and consistent member until her death. While she was an adherent of the United Presbyterian Church in Galt and generously supported its ordinances and missionary work, yet she never severed her connection with the Free church of Criff, Scotland, of which she belonged.
