    DAVIDSON, Ottje (Audrey) (nee deHaan)

It is with great sadness that the family of Ottje Davidson announces her passing, on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 68th year, surrounded by the love of her children after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband, Ellis Davidson of Cambridge and her parents, Kase and Henny deHaan of Pembroke. Ottje with her parents and other siblings immigrated to Canada from Holland, in 1951, first settling in Pembroke and she later moved to Cambridge, where she raised her family. A loving mother to her children; Steven and Rita Davidson, of Cambridge; Faye and Bob Crane, of Guelph; Donald and Sandra Davidson, of Cambridge; Patricia and Lloyd Moore of Pembroke and Donna and Jim Davidson-Dueck of Cambridge. Survived by her eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother and four sisters. Predeceased by one brother. Ottje worked hard along side her husband operating D & D Lumber. She was known for her ability to not only drive a lumber truck, but to also perk an amazing pot of coffee, which was accompanied with a tin of cookies. In later years together they operated ASC Sales and Auctions. She will be remembered always in our hearts. Visitation will be held at the T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday evening, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning, from 10:00- 11:00 a.m., where a service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning, April 20, 2011, at 11 a.m. Interment Mount View Cemetery.
