Peacefully, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at the age of 86. Loving wife of Manuel Mendes. Madalena will also be sadly missed by her sister, Carmela Costa of California as well as her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her sister, Maria Natalia Martins and her brothers, Manuel Lopez and Justino Lopes. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends today (Thursday), from 7-9 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Elgin St. S., Cambridge, on Friday, October 1, 2010, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery.
