    HARCOURT, WILLIAM VERNON. The Daily Telegraph of January 8, 1913 in the Elmira news reported the account of an appendectomy at which Drs. Harcourt and Faulds of Elmira assisted.

    A graduate of the University of Western Ontario who later settled in Guelph - it is not known whether he actually practised in Elmira.

    Dean of Guelph Doctors Passes

    GUELPH (CP) - Dr. William Vernon Harcourt, 82, dean of Guelph medical men, died Monday at his home here.

    Born in Arthur Township, he was graduated in medicine from the University of Western Ontario in 1910 and began private practice here in 1914. He had continued work ever since.

    Dr. Harcourt, a former president of the medical staff at St Joseph's Hospital here, is survived by his wife, Mildred, and three sons, William Jr., with Reuters News Agency in London, England, formerly of Kitchener, John M. of Guelph and Thomas F., of Toronto.
