MRS. WILLIAM HANGARTNER

Mrs. William N. Hangartner, 62, of Elmira, died suddenly Tuesday at K-W Hospital.

Born near Linwood, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Holling.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church, Elmira.

Her first husband, William Kuhl, died in 1935. She remarried in 1937.

Surviving besides her husband are four sons, Edward, Clarence and Robert, all of Elmira, and William Jr., of Toronto; four daughters, Mrs. Earl (Kathleen) Stever of Heidelberg, Mrs. Earl (Helen) Brodrecht of Kitchener, Mrs. Stuart (Betty) Luckhardt of RR 4, Wiarton and Mrs. Camille (Jean) Melanson of Montreal; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Flink of Elmira; one brother, Orville of Elmira, and 10 grandchildren.

The body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, until noon Friday when removal was made to Zion EUB Church for the funeral service at 2 pm conducted by Rev. M. E. Reuber.

Burial was in Elmira cemetery.

We are sorry to chronicle the death of Mr. William F. Holling, of the 13th line, who died at his home on Monday. The remains will be laid to rest on Friday. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved.

MRS. ELIZABETH HOLLING

Mrs. Elizabeth Holling, 76, of Elmira died Thursday last at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Fink, 7 Centre St, after a long illness.

Born in Wellesley June 22, 1879, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Schmetzer. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Aid.

Surviving are a son Orval of Elmira, two daughters, Mrs. William (Rosetta) Hangartner, and Mrs. Elmer (Frieda) Fink of Elmira; a sister, Mrs. Conrad Wilker of Linwood, a brother, John of Linwood; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her husband William; two sisters and two brothers predeceased her.

The funeral will be conducted at St. Pau's Church Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Elmira Cemetery with Rev. Frank Malinksky officiating.

Schchmetzer - Linwood on June 26th, Geo. Schmetzer, aged 73 years and 26 days.

Deceased was one of the oldest residents of the district of Linwood where he was a successful farmer. He was well known and highly respected and although a number of years subject to disease, managed to keep about active in the discharge of his duties until some months ago He had just completed a comfortable residence in which he hoped to spend his last years after retiring from the farm. The funeral took place at Linwood, Tuesday where a large number of relatives friends and neighbors had gathered to pay their last respect to the departed. Rev. R. Eden, pastor the Lutheran church of which deceased had been a staunch member, preached the funeral sermon. The departed leaves to mourn his loss, a widow, 3 sons and 4 daughters viz: Jacob M., John and Henry Schmetzer and Mrs. A. Shirk, Mrs. C. Wilker of Listowel, Mrs. J Dubrick of Elmira and Mrs W.F.C. of Washington Territory, U. S. A.
