    Conrad Braun

    Conrad Braun, 369 Frederick St., died today following an illness of three months. Mr. Braun, 81, was retired. He was born Aug. 8 1865, at Erbsville, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Braun. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Preston. His wife, the former Fredericka Triller died in 1943. One daughter, Mrs, Eleanor Schilter, is also deceased. The body is at the Keifer Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Thursday at 2: 30 p.m., with intement in Preston Cemetery. Rev. W. H. Knauff will officiate.

    Mrs. Conrad Braun

    PRESTON, Apr. 21---Illness of eight-weeks duration culminated in the death at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, yesterday of Maria Friederika Triller, wife of Conrad Braun, of Doon, in her 75 year. The late Mrs. Braun had been confined to the hospital for the last week. Born in Germany the deceased came to Canada at the age of 15. She married Conrad Braun in Berlin, now Kitchener, on January 24 1894 and the well known couple would have marked their 50th wedding anniversity in January of next year. For the last year Mr. Conrad Braun and the late Mrs. Braun, have been residing in Doon. For 11 years previously, they lived in Kitchener and Waterloo and previous to that time, lived on a farm at West Montrose for 38 years. The late Mrs. Braun is a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Preston. Surviving are her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Fred Schilter, of Dunnville. A brother, the late Otto Triller, died in Preston 1935. The late Mrs. Braun is resting at the H. K. Stager Funeral Home, Preston, for the service on Friday, Apr. 23 at 2.30. Interment will be made to the Preston Cemetery.

    DOON-Largely attended funeral held Friday services were held afternoon at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, Preston, for Mrs. Conrad Braun of Doon. The late Mrs. Braun died on Tuesday. She was in her 75th year.

    Rev. W. H. Knauff of St. Peter's Lutheran church officiated at the services at the funeral home and the Preston cemetery where interment was made. The pall-bearers were Hugo Schoenik, Kitchener, Jacob Rahn and H. Schieffle, Waterloo, Arthur Eagle, Doon, Oliver Lambert and Samuel Martin of Preston

    Mr. Conrad Brown, an Old Pioneer Passes Away at Waterloo

    An old pioneer of this county passed away at the home of his daughter Mrs. Wm. Easton, Waterloo, on Tuesday at 6 o'clock pm, in the person of Conrad Brown, after an illness of about three weeks, at the advanced age of 79 years, 4 months and 14 days.

    The late Mr. Brown was born in Germany and came to Canada when about 25 years of age, settling in Erbsville, at which place he resided for upwards of fifty years. He was married to Elizabeth Baetz who predeceased him 15 years. He had been on a visit to his daughter for the past month.

    Seven children survive, four sons and three daughters, viz., Margaret I(Mrs. E. Simpson), Durham; Elizabeth (Mrs. Wm. Easton), Waterloo; Mary (Mrs. Henry Rahn), Rumelhardt; George, Erbsville; Jacob, of near Erbsville; Conrad, West Montrose, Theodore, Waterloo. He is also survived by a brother in Mount Forrest and a sister in Germany.

    The funeral wil be held on Friday at 1 o'clock, from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Easton to the Lutheran church, Erbsville, for service.
